Inner Dialogue (from Ramayana)

The inner dialogue is the source of clarity and action.

You ask a question inwardly and receive an answer, gaining clarity. With inner clarity, you do not suffer; you know what to do. Everything begins with inner decisions. First, decide inside while controlling the senses and mind. Apply discernment, thinking you will not hurt anybody. Then, you will either let the matter be or take action. It is said to be "the will of God," but I do not believe God has a will. I would say God gives back what we have through mercy, without expectation. As cited, Kṛṣṇa said he can realize anything he wishes without trying, yet still acts. Thus, God's act is without willpower. We need willpower. We have the will. We ask for that positive energy, what we call God.

"With inner clarity, we do not suffer."

"God's act is without His willpower. We need the willpower."

Śiva said, "This is his inner dialogue with him." At times, when you are searching for an answer, you pose a question inwardly and receive an answer inwardly. You may question again and receive another answer, until you gain clarity. This inner clarity is of utmost importance. When we possess inner clarity, we do not suffer. Inwardly, you then know what you are going to do, what you should do, and what you should not do. Everything begins with inner decisions. First, one decides inside, contemplating deeply while controlling the indriyas and mind—the senses and mind. Then you think it over again, applying your viveka, your discernment, thinking, "I am not going to hurt anybody." After that, you will either let the matter be or you will take action. Therefore, it is said, "The will of God"—if you believe God has a will. I do not believe that God has a will, but I would say God gives back what we have. So it is His mercy which leads here and there, without expectation. As Kṛṣṇa also said, "In the whole three worlds, there is nothing which is not realizable for me. Anything I can get what I wish. And I have to work for nothing. I don't have to try hard to get something." Yet, still, I am acting, I am working. Thus, God's work, God's act, is without His willpower. We need the willpower. We have the will. We only just ask for that positive energy, what we call God.
