Good morning once more to everybody. We are here at that part of the Rāmāyaṇa where the people are thinking of and organizing the wedding for Śiva. yā himācala ratehu bitāna ativichitra nahi jāyi bakhāna As the bara (wedding party) that is like that is also the party member, the group—oh, it was all beautiful. When they were going towards the king of the Himalayas’ palace, that place where they were living, the village or the city, whatever you say, many joyful things were happening. People were enjoying; some were singing, some were making jokes, and you know how human nature is. But there were not only humans, but there were all kinds of creatures enjoying. All were happy in the unity of nature and consciousness. When there is a perfect unity of nature and consciousness, then there is a balance. And throughout the whole earth, everywhere—in every park, in every garden, in every meadow, on every hill—the creatures are enjoying. All kinds of creatures are enjoying and playing happily. That is Shiva’s wedding. It is not like that one person to another person, but it is a cosmic union of the entire planet, not only of a particular one person. But in order to understand this, we have to put it into some particular name. So you see, in the summer, the rabbits are playing happily. Deer are playing. The bears are playing. Birds are playing. Butterflies are playing. Bees are playing. All are happy. How beautiful it is—indescribable. That is where the happiness is; there is a union of nature and consciousness in a perfect way. Everywhere there is happiness, joy. On the other side, the king of the Himalayas prepared such a beautiful residence for all who would come as guests. Tulsīdāsa jī said it is indescribable how he prepared everything. Everything. According to everyone’s nature: some like to sleep in sleeping bags, so sleeping bags were prepared; some like to sleep on the grass, so the grass was prepared. Many, many different ways. So he prepared for all. God has prepared for everyone comfort according to their nature. Some sleep on the tree, and some cannot sleep on the tree. Some like to sleep under the tree. Some cannot sleep under the tree. God organizes for everyone, and everyone feels there and comfortable. One feels comfortable there where one is not afraid anymore. Some like to sleep with a locked, closed door. Someone likes to sleep with open windows. And someone sleeps with closed windows. So, different natures. In this world, all creatures—from little to big and big to little—all mountains, small or big, which you cannot describe and count how many hills are in the world, and all forests, all oceans, all rivers, all ponds and lakes—the king of the Himalayas gave the invitation to all. They see a hill, a mountain as a living being; a lake as a living being; a river as a living being. Now, when all will come to the Himalayas, what will happen? That’s why the Himalayas become bigger and bigger. Now you know why the Himalayas are the highest mountains. It means when God is merciful, then everywhere it is raining. Everyone shares the happiness of this. When the sun is shining, everyone is invited to take the benefit of the sunlight. That is, I told you before, the unity of nature and consciousness. So, symbolically, the king of the Himalayas—who is the king of the Himalayas? Also, Shiva’s Self. The Himalaya has a very great meaning. The Himalaya brings the good weather. The Himalaya is, you know how important mountains are. So the ṛṣi, the self-realized one, sees everything as living beings. The tree is also a living being. There is one tree; it is very, very old and very, very tall. There is no one taller than that tree in the world. So there is written, the oldest and tallest creature of the world. Everyone is living. All are invited to have an enrichment, to grow, to exist. That’s a season when the spring comes. It’s a unity of two seasons. Like day and night are meeting. That’s a wedding. Not in that way, Swamiji. I love Shiva and Kṛṣṇa. Do you think I can marry him? I would also like to marry him. Millions of girls are waiting like this. I knew that you would have a kind of passion, a desire. But what we are talking about between Śiva and Pārvatī, that was not a marriage of this. That’s how you can understand and misunderstand. Well, the king, the host, he invited everyone: all rivers, all ponds, all lakes, all big and little mountains. All, everyone was invited. Everyone, according to their own choice and their passion, dressed themselves. According to their vices, they all manifested in beautiful bodies. Every leg, one person came out as one and was dressed according to that. When you go and sit near the lake, how beautiful it is. Even a small water pond, you can sit and see the beauty of this. Or a river flowing, you see from far how beautiful it is flowing. Or a small brook, oh, it’s beautiful. Indescribable beauty, oh God, beautiful. Oh God, beautiful… In the mountains, in the forest, in the river, in the ocean, oh God, beautiful. Oh God, this is a beautiful bhajan from Paramahaṃsa Yogananda: “Oh Lord, how beautiful you are in the mountains, in the forests, in the rivers, in the oceans, in the lakes, in the flowers, in the humans, in the animals.”
