Qualities

A spiritual discourse on the eternal principle of yoga and inner awakening.

"Yoga is eternal, a cosmic principle. The energy which governs, balances, and protects the entire universe is Yogamāyā, Yogaśakti; that is yoga."

"You may believe what you want to believe... The important thing is that you awaken inwardly. We are sleeping; we must awaken, and that can only be done by yourself."

The speaker presents yoga as a universal cosmic force and calls for self-awakening beyond specific religious beliefs. He emphasizes that inner qualities define one's character, from holiness to negativity, illustrating this with observations on human behavior and gossip. The core message is a personal commitment to liberation and helping others.

Recording location: Croatia, Umag, Weekend seminar

Yoga is not merely physical postures; yoga is not a fanatical way. Yoga is eternal, a cosmic principle. There are two principles, known as the cosmic father and cosmic mother. The energy which governs, balances, and protects the entire universe is Yogamāyā, Yogaśakti; that is yoga. The aim of my coming is this: I wish to awaken this consciousness within you. You may believe what you want to believe—any god, any incarnation—or you may not believe. You may follow any religion or belong to any culture; that is not important. The important thing is that you awaken inwardly. We are sleeping; we must awaken, and that can only be done by yourself. You can be a great holy saint by developing qualities, the human qualities. Through quality, one is holy. Through quality, one is God. Through quality, one is human. Through quality, one is a thief. And through that quality, one is the devil. These are the inner qualities. Those who lack pure consciousness and a pure heart become angry so quickly. They become jealous so quickly; they have doubts so quickly. They always keep their eyes open to see the mistakes of others. When someone is criticizing somebody, they say, "What did you say?" The other one will ask, "What are they talking about?" If you are fighting in the street with someone, shouting and saying bad words, everyone opens their window to look at what is going on. Yet if you talk about God, love, and peace, they will close the window and look at what is going on in the street. They say, "These are the crazy people." You see how the qualities immediately decide. Therefore, it is said: it does not matter what people talk about or what people think. I have to do one thing: liberate myself. I did not come into this world for gossiping, but I came into this world for helping. Recording location: Croatia, Umag, Weekend seminar
