Shivoham
The immortal Ātmā is the unborn, indestructible Self beyond karma.
Some beings are bound by karma, others are free. Approaching one who is free from karma leads you to that same freedom. In the fire of wisdom, all impurities are burned away, leaving only purity. The Vedas declare this Ātmā to be indestructible, unborn, and immortal. This same knowledge was given by Kṛṣṇa, who stated the Ātmā is within all. Therefore, engage in a practice: first, acknowledge your problems and suffering. Second, affirm your true nature as the Ātmā, distinct from these temporary states. Recognize your identity as that immortal essence.
"I am that immortal Ātmā. And you are also that immortal Ātmā."
"Think two things. One is your problem... Second, smile upon yourself: 'I am not all this; I am Ātmā.'"
