The judgment

Do not judge others hastily, for you do not see their hidden struggles. A beautiful, polished stone was once raw, having rolled for miles, hitting other stones and enduring slaps from the river to become smooth. Its current beauty is the result of that long, suffering journey. If you then see a small crack and reject it, the stone would lament your inability to understand or accept this minor flaw after all it has endured. Therefore, appreciate the beauty forged through hardship and do not let a small imperfection cause you to dismiss someone. We must see everyone's inherent abilities and the good work they have done, recognizing the unseen effort behind their present state.

"Ask these stones. Consider how many miles it was rolling, how many stones it was hitting, and how many slaps it got until it became so nice, gentle, and beautiful."

"Oh, my God, is this person not able to resist or understand this little crack on it? How much I was suffering for it?"

It is very easy to judge whether someone is a good or a bad person, but you do not see the other side of that person. For any kind of work we see, we should not judge too easily; we should see what it truly is. Once, Mahāprabhujī was walking on the bank of a river with Holy Gurujī, and there were many little, round, beautiful stones. Gurujī told Mahāprabhujī, "Look how nice these stones are, no?" And what did Mahāprabhujī say? "Ask these stones." Consider how many miles it was rolling, how many stones it was hitting, and how many slaps it got until it became so nice, gentle, and beautiful. Imagine a raw stone falls from the mountain and rolls in the river until you find a beautiful, small, very shining stone. It took a long time for it to become like that. Now you see how beautiful it is. And then you see, suddenly, there is some kind of little crack. One might say, "Oh, it is not good, throw it away." That stone would say, "Oh, my God, is this person not able to resist or understand this little crack on it? How much I was suffering for it?" Like this, we should see everyone's abilities and everyone's good work. That is very important.
