Be a bhakta
Bhakti is the awakening of devotion through surrender to God. When one realizes their mortal limitations and suffering, they turn to God for help. This love makes one a bhakta, a devotee of the supreme knower. God, though omnipotent, has one weakness: love for devotees. He cannot disobey a devotee's pure love. A bhakta knows only God can free them from rebirth and death, so they surrender their entire life and burdens to God. The outcome—liberation or not—is then in God's hands. There are three types of devotees: the best acts immediately without being asked, the medium acts when asked, and the worst avoids or delays even when asked. God is devoted to those devoted to Him, achieving a state of oneness, like water and waves, through unconditional surrender.
"God says, 'I don't need anything... but I have one weak point: that's love.'"
"God says, 'I am devoted to them who are devoted to me.' And he or she is one with me; we are one."
