How to overcome suffering
Satsaṅg is the supreme path for understanding life, achieving happiness, and attaining freedom from karma and suffering. Every being desires happiness, but we must inquire: who within us feels this desire? That seeker is our true Self, our essence, which is a part of God, whose nature is happiness itself. We often search for this Self externally, but it cannot be found that way. To understand God and the Self, one must engage with Satsaṅg and the Dharmaśāstras, the scriptures describing truth and duty. Our yoga practice is a union aimed at connecting the individual self with the Cosmic Self. The human mind is complicated and has lost touch with reality, but truth ends all arguments. God incarnates by free will, yet according to cosmic law, even divine incarnations must accept the conditions and sufferings of physical form, including the consequences of purposeful actions.
"If the Self is searching for the Self somewhere outside, it will never find it anywhere."
"God means happiness; the quality, nature, or principle of God is happiness."
