Practise this kriya
This year's special saṅkalpa is to consciously purify the inner instrument through a specific kriyā. This practice is for advanced yogīs nearing samādhi, where a door closes, but it is beneficial for all. The kriyā has two points: do not think negative and do not speak negative for one week. This means observing the mind's reactions, the senses' reactions, and temperamental reactions like anger, hate, jealousy, greed, and complexes. These are termed precious qualities that must be kept locked in a treasure, not shown or given away. In contrast, divine qualities like understanding, humbleness, love, kindness, mercy, peace, joy, and happiness are like a flowing river; they can be shared without depletion. The two principles are simple: avoid negative thought and speech, especially toward others. An exception exists where using common sense to refuse something harmful makes a negative consideration positive. Practice this kriyā simply.
"These are the divine qualities, and divine qualities no one can steal. We can open them; everyone can look in, or they can take as much as they like."
"So, practice this kriyā very simply: do not think negative and do not speak negative."
