About Patanjali
The path of a true seeker is to follow the master's wisdom without comparison. A genuine master possesses experiential knowledge and can articulate it to guide you. Do not assess a master by appearance, age, or tradition, for holy wisdom is limitless and for all. There are two kinds of people: the Gurumukhī and the Manmukhī. The Gurumukhī follows the master's words and is always happy. The Manmukhī is led by their uncontrolled mind, changing constantly, and is always unhappy. Your spiritual practice is not fruitful until you are Gurumukhī, meaning you are initiated and have a master. Yet, a true master does not compare or claim superiority, for such division creates trouble. A saint possesses samadṛṣṭi—equal vision—seeing the same divine light in all. Holiness is this inner quality, not external signs. Therefore, seek satsaṅg where there is no criticism, maintain your eternal connection to your master, and aim only to help all and realize the divine.
"Gurumukhī sadā sukhī: the Gurumukhī is always happy."
"Samadṛṣṭi. Equal vision. To see with samadṛṣṭi means to see that in everyone is the light of the same God."
