About darshan
Darśan is the transformative act of seeing and being seen by the divine.
We seek darśan to dispel doubt and receive mercy. It purifies by removing sins, for realization is to see God. The eyes are the organ through which the soul looks, and when a saint gazes upon you, it is a shower of blessing nectar that purifies the heart and awakens energy. We keep photos for darśan, as seeing an object awakens its corresponding feeling within us, drawing the soul nearer. Darśan is the greatest blessing, a constant flow of ambrosia that protects from negative energy and can alter destiny, whether the master is living or past.
"Through darśan, many, many sins are removed. What we call God-realization is to see God."
"Darśan is the biggest prasād. Āśīrvād, blessing, is a prasād."
