Take care of you body

A morning discourse on the importance of the body and the divine design of life.

"The body is not immortal; its dharma is to be born, to grow, and to die. No one can keep this body forever."

"God is the best architect; He is the best engineer. And His company functions very quickly and very punctually."

The speaker explores the Vedic perspective on the mortal body and immortal soul, emphasizing that while the body is transient, maintaining its health is paramount for a happy life. He describes the intricate, perfect creation of the human body as evidence of divine engineering, attributing its flawless design and timely development in the womb to God, or Īśvara.

This morning we were discussing matters of health and body care. It is said that the body is mortal, while the ātmā is immortal. This body is changeable. Although the body is mortal, it should not be neglected, and indeed, it is not neglected. Both the Upaniṣads and the Vedas mention this. The body is not immortal; its dharma is to be born, to grow, and to die. No one can keep this body forever. On the other hand, there is a wealth of material which states that the body is very important and you should do your best to protect it, even to pray for it. For your health is the first wealth. If health is there, everything is there; if health is not there, nothing is there. A happy life does not come from money, nor from a partner or friend. A happy life comes from good health. When your health is in order, you are the happiest person; you can eat anything, you can digest everything. It is said you can digest iron beans. So you should have good digestion. Thus, there is a great focus on the body. In Sanātana Dharma, in Vedic culture, in the Vedas and Upaniṣads, everything was spoken several thousand years ago. What is spoken in the Vedas and the Upaniṣads is now spoken in all the religions which came afterward. The origin of all religions is Sanātana Dharma. It is said that Mother Earth, Mother Nature, gave us this body, and the Cosmic Father, the Holy Father, God, Īśvara, gave us this soul, this light in the body. It is indescribable. His work is very fast. What He manages in this body over nine months, no human and no computer can manage. How perfect the technology is; how finely the nerves are spread around the body; every cable is perfectly connected. No cable is disconnected. This means something; they did not connect the cable of the ear to the nose or the cable of the nose to the ear. So the gods, engineers, workers, supporters—they are all perfect. Joints, bones, muscles—different kinds of muscles, different kinds of bones, different kinds of nerves, different capacities, different joints, glands, the function of the glands, organs, everything—memory, emotion, anger, hate, jealousy, complexes, greediness—God gave everything perfectly. How rich we are. God is the best architect; He is the best engineer. And His company functions very quickly and very punctually. Nine months means nine months; it must not become twelve. If it becomes more than nine months, the doctor takes a knife in hand to open the stomach to take the baby out. Recording location: Czech Republic, Strilky, Welcome Seminar
