Meditation is a very important part of our life. It is the means to calm our mind and our emotions. Meditation is a way to oneself; through meditation we come to know ourself. We come to know our qualities, and meditation is that which can also purify them. Every holy person, all saints, were meditating. When we meditate, we feel ourselves like a child in the lap of a mother. Meditation is a cradle which leads our life comfortably through the universe. It is that which leads us to God. Through meditation we can dissolve the boundaries between God and ourselves. It is meditation which can remove the mountains of dualities and ignorance; meditation is nourishment for our self, for the ātmā. Through it, we can overcome all worldly restlessness and sorrows. Very often we ask in our life, what should I do and what should I not do? We seek answers and ask other people for direction. But the real direction is that which we get through meditation. In meditation, we receive valuable advice from our real self. It inspires us and gives the motivation to live a healthy and long life. Meditation shows us the way to love and the way to service. However, meditation without a mantra is like a body without a soul; therefore, one should utilize a mantra during meditation. You should not practice a mantra too quickly. It is not important how many times you repeat your mantra. The numbers are not important; what is important is the consciousness which is dwelling in your mantras. Your consciousness should be aware of what your mantra means, and the corresponding feelings should awake within us. One who meditates has a successful life. Therefore, know the meditation, the technique of self-inquiry. Meditation is to learn to forgive, to learn to understand, to learn to love, and to learn to have harmonious relations. It is to learn to unite and feel one with the Cosmic Self. Not only am I a part of the Universal One, but I am one with the Universal One. That Universal One is within me and I am within the Universal One; I am inseparable. It cannot be separated. It is impossible to separate my ātmā from the Paramātmā. I only want to remove the ignorance, the dark ways of ignorance. May God bless me with mercy, divine mercy, that bliss, so that I realize the bliss in my meditation. That I realize that I am. That I realize that I am that Cosmic One, and that within me is the Cosmic One. That God has sent me into this universe, into this world, as His very trustable instrument, that He trusts me, and that is why He gave me this life. I should never disappoint God; when He put His trust in me, then I should be thankful to God that He finds me worthy of His love, that He acts through me. We can only feel the presence of God through meditation. So, let us meditate for a while. In reality, meditation means to think on God, to be one with God, to feel the oneness with Him. That is the purpose of meditation: that there should be no dualities, there should be no doubts, there should be no boundaries, there should be nothing. That eternal, everlasting, divine bliss is the source in my heart. I am that, and that I am. Recording location: Czech Republic, Prague, Seminar
