Life
Life is a mystery, and we exist simultaneously in the physical and astral worlds, though our awareness is confined to the physical, which provides a rest from astral distress. All existence involves activity, or kriyā. Humans possess intellect but have not mastered life, remaining afraid of birth and death due to ignorance. True knowledge, parāvidyā, overcomes fear, but this education is not found in schools; we must teach ourselves. We paradoxically know we are immortal yet live in ignorance, risking a life like Socrates's, ending only in realizing we do not know. We must pray and surrender to God, releasing fear. Our achievements and degrees are left behind; we face destiny alone.
"Nor can this education be taught to us by someone. It is ourself who shall teach ourself."
"Give your life in His hand, then why are you afraid?"
