World Peace Forum 2003 - Mr Gulab Kothari
Modern society suffers from a critical imbalance, neglecting the heart and soul for intellect and body.
Our education system fails to create balanced individuals concerned with society, focusing only on body and intellect. Media and information technology further isolate individuals, breaking societal bonds. Visual media thrives on action from crime and war, captivating us to the point we lose our present and future. Without consciousness of our hearts, love cannot exist; intellect deals in hatred and arrogance, not affection. Children grow without witnessing love, seated before screens, missing guidance from an absent older generation. The career-focused education of women removes them from their traditional role as centers of familial love, creating competition instead of complementarity. We must look inward to our wisdom and hearts, not just intellectual exercises.
"Our intellect can only talk about hatred; it can talk arrogance. It will never show love, affection, or respect."
"If there is a woman, there is love; she can control any man, she has all the powers."
