The Primacy of Oṃ
Oṃ is the fundamental sound from which all creation emerges. The entire universe is a manifestation of this resonance. It is present in birdsong, wind, flowing water, and the deepest reaches of space as the sound of the divine heart. Every atom and organ within the body possesses its own functional sound. Therefore, all existence is sound, and the supreme reality is this sound. In meditation, one transcends the ten sensory sounds to perceive the eleventh: the sound of the Self, which is Oṃ. This sound is omnipresent, heard in thunder, the earth, trees, and the ocean. Since sound is everywhere, divine presence is everywhere. To experientially realize this omnipresent reality, one must first purify the mental impurities of Mala, Vikṣepa, and Āvaraṇa that separate individual from cosmic consciousness. Achieving this state through samādhi makes all worldly pleasures tasteless by comparison, revealing the joy of Brahman within the heart, which is Oṃ.
"Everything in this universe that you can see is created out of that one sound, and that is Oṃ."
"Where is there no sound? Everywhere is sound. So where is there no God? Everywhere is God."
