If you could separate the waves from the ocean, only then could you separate yourself from God. So, when we are not separated, what are we searching for? Whom are we searching for, and where are we searching for Him? That which is searching is our ignorance. You go to the market and meet some friends. Your name is František, so they say, "Oh, František, dobrý den." You reply, "Yes, how are you, dobrý den, jak se máš?" They ask, "What are you doing here, František?" You say, "I'm sorry to tell you, but I'm in a hurry to go." "Why? Where are you going?" "I am searching for František. Have you seen František somewhere?" They will say, "Yes, my friend. Come, sit down. We will eat ice cream. We will phone home and call the ambulance. I have a good connection with a psychiatric doctor. I have a good connection. Don't worry. You will get good treatment." We declare such a person as mentally ill. Confused means that person has lost touch with reality. In modern psychology, we say the person has lost reality and needs treatment. Similarly, we have lost that divine reality—the truth that it is within me, that I am That, and that I am That. But if we tell anybody this, they will laugh at us. Because everyone is wearing yellow glasses; everyone sees yellow, everything is yellow. And now you will tell them there is blue. They will say you must be crazy. Therefore, there is a story. In one village, there was a village of the farmer community called Jat. They are very active, creative people, very near to nature. They maintain the entire ecology. The old system was that everyone, the whole village, drank water from one water well. One day, what happened? The whole village people became a little bit stupid. Not just one or two or three, but all. All were talking about something different. So, what had happened? It happened that someone put hashish powder in the water well. And all who drank water from this well became intoxicated. So, in this creation, someone put that kind of intoxication—the intoxication of attachment.
