Increase the positive energy with your nice positive words

A discourse on the power of mantra and speech.

"The origin of all creation is the sound Oṃ."

"The wound which is caused by some weapon or a knife can be healed, but the wound which is caused by the words of humans cannot be healed for a whole life."

The speaker explores the primordial power of sound, beginning with the sacred syllable Oṃ as the source of creation. He discusses the eternal struggle between positive (Daivī) and negative (Āsurī) forces, examining how to weaken negativity through spiritual strength. The talk broadens to consider the immense power inherent in all human words, using "ugly" and "beautiful" as examples of speech that can cause lasting pain or joy, ultimately framing a true blessing as a powerful, positive mantra.

We are all practicing mantra, and we know many things about it. The day before yesterday, and also yesterday morning, I spoke about the origin of the entire creation. The origin of all creation is the sound Oṃ. If you remember, we spoke about two powers: Āsurī śakti and Daivī śakti—the negative force and the positive force. This duality exists, has always existed, and will always exist. How to keep peace and harmony had been the first question even in the minds of the gods. This is not a new question. At that time, they already found a way to avoid or to win over the negative forces. You can be a winner only if you are stronger. Now, that strength—being stronger—means different things. Physical strength is also very important, but it is limited. Mental strength is much stronger than physical strength, but that is also not strong enough. The ātmā bal, the willpower, the inner willpower, is stronger than mental power, but that too is not enough. They began to think: where is the source of our strength? From where does the strength come? We must find the source. The source was found in that powerful word, in the sound, in the Oṃ, which created the whole universe. So, how to come to that source? To reach it, they found some way, and that way you may call techniques. They found certain paths for this, which we call techniques. In many different kinds of social life, or in this physical world, there are also different kinds of powers. In the physical world, as well as in social relations, there are different powers. A man may have no power, but the chair, the position, has power, and that is very important. That power in the universe is divided into two parts: the negative and the positive. We must find the techniques to weaken the negative power; we need a method by which we will weaken the negative power and strengthen the positive power. This is very important. So, how to weaken that power? Before that, we should know what that negative power is. If we know, then we can fight. It may be some illness; first we should know what kind of illness it is, and then which medicine will help. So, which kind of mantra will help us to weaken a certain power? This can be politics too. One politician looks for the weaker points of another. This has been so from the very beginning, even in the spiritual world, in the astral world. Every incarnation of God had nights and nights, sleepless nights, discussing how to manage that the negative power is lessened or destroyed. Every divine incarnation spent many, many sleepless nights thinking about, discussing how the power of the negative force could be broken; how to manage that we are winners; how to show what is justice; how to show what is right. In every walk of life we see the fighting of the negative and positive. If we look at the course of life, we will see the positive and the negative, and it does not happen only with us. It is happening with every creature. We must take the source of that power so our physical strength, our mental strength, our emotional strength, our spiritual strength is not based on the material world but is based on some spiritual world, the energy. That energy is a spiritual energy, not visible to our eyes, but it is there. What we call the human language is the most powerful language. Sometimes, when we try to organize programs or conferences and search for a title, I attempt to organize the final conference and I search for a name. But every word of the human language is a title. On every word, we can make a conference. Then we realize that actually, every single human word can be a title; a whole conference can be held about each one. It means that every single word has such huge power and so much meaning that we could talk about it for years. Every word has so many meanings that we could discuss every single one of them every year. We can organize a conference on the word "hate." And you will see how many experts will be able to talk about hate for many, many days. Or, let's say, the word "ugly." Many, many experts will speak on this. Is there something ugly, or is it only the word that we are using? It is said, God is beautiful. Everything that God has created is beautiful. So there is nothing existing that is ugly. Then why does this word have so much power? Because the mantra is that word which can create immense happiness or unhappiness. It can create a war, or it can stop the war. If you tell someone, "You are beautiful," you create immense happiness and joy in that person. Now, can you describe what beauty is? There can be conferences. The economy is not dependent on beauty, yet consider beauty salons, beauty cosmetics. And if you tell someone, "You are ugly," it will make that person so unhappy. That person will not forget this word for a lifetime. "That one day, that person told me, 'You are ugly.'" The wound which is caused by some weapon or a knife can be healed, but the wound which is caused by the words of humans cannot be healed for a whole life. So when we know that there is nothing existing that is ugly—that God made everything beautiful—then why does it make you unhappy when someone says you are ugly? So there must be something more to it in this topic. And that is the power of the word. It is the power of speech. So what can we find? In which way can we weaken the āsurī śaktis, the negative energy, so that we can win over the asuras, the negative ones? There were mantras used. What is a blessing? A blessing is a mantra. And this blessing, anyone can give you a blessing. Who can tell you "ugly," that one can also tell you "beautiful." So it is better to have a blessing from everyone than to have negative thoughts from anyone. A blessing comes from the heart. Your mother can bless you. Your father can bless you. Your brother and sister can bless you, the elderly ones. Anyone can bless you who is elder than you. A holy man can bless you. Now, this blessing is a power of the mantra. Or anyone who has spiritual power and knowledge can bless you; it doesn't matter if he is old or young. And everyone who has spiritual knowledge and spiritual strength can bless you without a doubt in his heart. Recording location: Hungary, Vep, summer seminar
