This afternoon, we will speak on a very interesting subject, one that is especially a point of active discussion—a question mark—in European countries. I mention this due to my greater experience there. Some parts of Europe have undergone significant political changes: communism, civil wars, the Cold War, the First and Second World Wars. Through these upheavals, there have been strong efforts to change the education system. We often say the culture of tomorrow is in the hands of the children. A country will move in the direction its children take. Therefore, the education of children is profoundly important. I do not wish to take our speakers' time, but I believe the most crucial education is not merely what we receive in schools. It is the education we get at home—the education from our parents and from our elder brothers and sisters. Now, you are aware that in Western countries, children sometimes go to school with guns. You have heard of many tragic accidents: shootings in schools targeting children and teachers. If you consider such a country—America, what we call, and what people label a developed country—when they call it developed, I have to laugh. Forgive me for saying so, and excuse me if any American citizens or gentlemen are present. If that is development, then I do not want my India to develop in that manner. You understand what I mean? This stems from wrong education, and from the education that is missing: a mother's education, a father's education. Now, in European and Western countries, they are returning to this point. There are even heated discussions in parliament about it. This subject is called ethics education. Many are in favor of ethics education, and many are against it. Therefore, this evening's topic is very fitting for us: what we call religion and ethics. How far can they help us bring the world toward harmony and world peace?
