I was particularly interested, even before I came here, that somebody addressed the question about spiritual consciousness in the world at the moment. I think there are so many people. I have a very strong media background, but having moved into that area myself, I see so many other people around me experiencing this change of consciousness. We see it here in Australia. Is it happening globally, in your experience? Yes, the changing, the spiritual awakening in the consciousness of humans, is throughout the whole world. Because people see now that people are suffering, especially the war victims. Or you see that some soldier died, and when their cap and their shoes come home, then you see how their family is crying, how sad they are. Or when they see that someone has died, children are left behind. No one wants to see these things. And this kind of feeling has awakened in them to think, what is the sense of life? Why are we doing this? This has been happening for generations. There have been wars, there have been battles. Why now? Well, it is like this: when the sun rises, darkness disappears. But slowly, slowly, again darkness will come. So unfortunately, these are the clouds which are coming and going. So now is the spiritual wave, and we hope this spiritual wave will bring good things. We will have a long-lasting, sustainable development. Well, this has been prophesied for many, many years, from ancient times, that there is going to come a time of peace. Do you believe we are now on the threshold of that? Yes, according to the Vedas, what has been prophesied in the yugas, the system of counting the years of the yugas, so now the Kali Yuga, the dark time, is going to be ending, and that's why the spiritual consciousness, the dawn, has already begun. With the dawn, what can we expect from your perspective? We expect a very bright, clear sun. That's lovely to hear. We're in a world that's really governed by materialism. You spoke about that in a talk earlier this morning. Materialism is rampant, but there's nothing new about that. The world has been driven by money for thousands of years. To topple this kind of thought, it's got to be more than just a few dissatisfied people, surely. You see, this dawn, when the dawn breaks, then consciousness awakes. The birds awake, the flowers awake, open their blossoms. The entire nature awakes. The human will awake. Everything awakening, awakening takes place. Money is like this: nowadays it is like this. The human habit, or the way of life, is changed in that way that we need more comfort. Do we need it, or do we just desire it? Now we need it because we are habitual to it. It's not more desires, but it is our habit is like that. Our way of life has changed like that. Previously, there was one article, a very nice article in Indian Airlines. I read once about the old king and the modern kings being compared. Now, even the poor person, what kind of facilities they have got, that time was before 200 years, even the king didn't have the facilities that these people have. So people had in their mind to have some kind of comfortable life, an easy life. And that somehow the technology made possible, and for that they need money. So we do need the money. We cannot avoid the money. We cannot deny the money. And our way of life becomes in such a habitual way that if we change immediately, we will become ill, discomfort. It can be, but slowly, slowly, step by step, it has to go back. So you don't agree with some of the thoughts that are coming from many different directions, that there will be a world monetary crash, that things will happen all of a sudden. You go against that thought? Yeah, that will not happen. This has been told time to time. This is just some blackmailing, threatening, a lot of fear-mongering. One should not fear about that.
