How can a ruler be succesfull?

A true ruler must synthesize all yogic paths. To be a Karma Yogi is to work for the country and its people. To be a Bhakti Yogi is to serve them with love and care for their spiritual development. To be a Jnana Yogi is to possess wisdom. Only such a person, a Raja Yogi—a king of yoga and self-discipline—can be successful. Any other will fail. This synthesis is the exclusive qualification for true kingship.

"Only such a person can be the true king—the king of yoga and self-discipline."

"And that can be only the king, the king, the king."

Filming location: Vép, Hungary

Gurujī often said that a successful ruler or king can only be one who is a Rāja Yogī, a Karma Yogī, a Bhakti Yogī, as well as a Jñāna Yogī. To be a Karma Yogī means to work for the country and for the people. To be a Bhakti Yogī means to work for them with love, to care for his people with love and attend to their spiritual development. To be a Jñāna Yogī means he must possess wisdom. Only such a person can be the true king—the king of yoga and self-discipline. That king, or that minister, can be successful. Any other will not be successful.
