Living planet & Human qualities

The Earth is a living being, and humanity has become a dangerous force upon it. God created humans as protectors, not destroyers, instructing them not to kill or eat meat. Yet, the natural order sustains itself through life consuming life. Human actions create karma and destiny; suffering and disasters arise from our collective negativity. War cannot bring peace, as it breeds lasting resentment. The core human failure is forgetting our inherent quality and value. We must awaken to our role, establish human values firmly, and cease the exploitation that stems from greed. Universal love is the truth that still holds our planet together.

Our planet is known as a living planet. Our planet is life. The Earth upon which you walk is living. Our planet is vast. Our home is very large. Our country is very large. Thus, it is said in Hinduism, "Vasudhaiva Kuṭumbakam"—the whole world is the family of the One God. For there is only one God. It is He who is the Father. It is He who is the Creator. He has created this planet, all elements, all creatures, all vegetation. All life originates from Him. Individuals, like us walking upon this Earth, are akin to tiny bacteria walking upon your body. There are good bacteria and there are bad bacteria. Good bacteria protect our body, while bad bacteria are epidemics. Unfortunately, at present, humans have become like an epidemic for the Earth. Humans are very dangerous bacteria for this planet. Yet, this was not God's intention. God created humans as protectors, not as destroyers. Therefore, God also instructed humans: they should not eat animals, they should not eat meat, they should not kill. At the same time, it is said, "Jīva jīva bhakṣate"—life will consume life. That is called self-sustainability, so that God does not have to work again and again. That is perfect, sustainable development. And when humanity goes too far in its negativity, then destiny knows how to reduce it through illnesses or some disasters—natural disasters: drought, cold, earthquake, hurricanes, floods, wars, and so on. We all speak of world peace. You cannot achieve peace with a gun. Peace was never realized after a war. War never brought peace, and therefore, to create war, to have war in the world, is not a good idea. For we may forgive, but we will not forget. That fire of revenge boils in human blood, and they wait for the opportunity. So, war is not a solution. Rather, we are against ourselves. We humans do not like humans. We humans kill humans. That was not God's intention. In the Holy Quran, it is said: "If you kill one human, it means you kill the whole of humanity." But who follows this? Thus, all this becomes destiny. What you do, that you will get. And you act according to your quality. So what you did becomes your destiny. Our present life is according to our past good fortune or misfortune, happiness or unhappiness. It is not written in some book somewhere in the sky; everything is written in your kismat. Your kismat is your book. If there is a piece of paper, we can read to someone, "Look, what is my destiny?" But kismat you cannot read. If there is a piece of wood, we can break it. But love cannot be broken. Love is love, and that is universal love—spiritual love, that love for all, for every creature. That love still holds our planet together. That love is the truth, and the truth is there, still saving our lives, saving our planet. So, our planet is a living planet. When you walk upon it, you are walking upon the living, upon life, and this life is here. This life is the life of God itself. Therefore, it is advised not to kill and eat meat. You shall keep away from dead bodies. Do not touch the dead body. Do not create dead bodies; instead, create living bodies. Those who eat meat are responsible for all this karma. They are responsible for all the suffering and wars. If you do not eat meat... they will not kill, because you are the consumer. Thus, the butcher accrues less karma than the one who is eating, and the one who is breeding the animals and selling them for meat. So, karma is divided between two: one who breeds the animals and then sells them for slaughter, and the second, who eats them. Who is killing them? He is innocent, as Jesus said on the cross: "Father, forgive them." Whom? The soldiers. They do not know what they do. They only act because they are slaves, ordered by their boss to crucify him. Therefore, he did not say, "Father, forgive them," who ordered the crucifixion. Thus, until now, what you have done in your life, you did out of ignorance. Now, awaken. Realize you are human. What does it mean to be human? What makes us human? Quality. So first, discover human quality. Then, make the values of human quality firm as stone. But the same stones have different qualities. A diamond is also a stone, and mud is also a stone. What is the difference in price? Similarly, humans are the diamonds among creatures. So human quality, the values of human life, are greater. But this does not mean we destroy others. And it is not certain that you will again receive a human body. But it is sure that your individual self will travel into some different form. Perhaps it will all go into a pig, which is kept somewhere and then brought to the slaughterhouse. You know inwardly who you are, but you have no power to say anything. You can do nothing except one thing: suffer. You are the witness of the suffering, and your inner self says, "God, forgive me. Give me human life again, and I will do everything better." So again, He gives us human life. Then we again forget the promises we made there. That is why we suffer again. Keep the promise you made to God. If we cannot keep the promises we made to God, how can we keep the promises we make to normal mortal beings, to humans? Therefore, first discover human qualities, and then establish the values of human qualities. Then you can protect human qualities. Then you will understand what human rights mean. As long as you do not know human qualities and the value of human qualities, you will not understand human rights. And when we do not understand, we abuse them. God gave us many things for our use, but not for our abuse. Mother Earth has enough for everyone's needs, but not for everyone's greed. This is what Gandhiji said when he saw what humans are doing here. Humans became greedy. He said, "Was it necessary for the British to come and rule India? Why don't they rule their own country?" What brought them there? Their greed. There was no need, only greed. And where there is greed, there is war and suffering. Therefore, we should take care of our actions in this world. There are 8.4 million different creatures, divided into three categories: Jalchar, creatures in the water; Thalchar, creatures on the earth; and Nabha-char, creatures in the sky, in space. Among these, we are human, meant to protect ourselves and protect others. For jīva jīva bhakṣate—their life will consume life. Animals will eat animals. Animals do not possess the knowledge that this is human and this is animal. For animals, everything is an animal. They only know that humans are dangerous animals. So for them, it is very difficult to hunt humans, but whenever they can, they like to hunt them to celebrate their victory—like a great shark, tigers, lions, snakes, and also tiny bacteria, the flu, malaria, and many other things. Therefore, we humans should be careful. We shall protect ourselves, and we shall protect others. And we must see that we can achieve a higher level of consciousness, where we will no longer suffer and will not have to repeat again and again. We must become one with that which is one with us—that which is one with all. And so, Holy Gurujī said, "One in all and all in one." In this way, contemplate what human life means.
