Aba Hama bhajan

Singing bhajan brings the direct experience of bliss and the cessation of mental activity. The happiness of divine unity is placed within the bhajan's form for any singer to experience. Observe your thoughts and feel the heart as waves of bliss circulate between it and the crown chakra. Reality, like the ocean, exists in different forms; wisdom is the cloud that brings the nourishing rain of nectar. This nectar is the Guru's word, the pure knowledge that quenches all thirst. When the mind is completely filled with this wisdom, all desires are purified and fearless stillness is attained. The transformative mantra turns base consciousness into gold.

"Automatically, all vṛtti subsides. Automatically, all vṛtti ceases."

"One drop of rain has more energy for the plants than one liter of water which you take from your water table."

Filming location: Vép, Hungary

When you sing this, you feel your heart. Observe your thinking process. Automatically, all vṛtti subsides. Automatically, all vṛtti ceases. You experience this happiness. So, Gurujī has placed the permanent happiness of His unity, of His union, even into the form of bhajan, so that whoever will simply read and sing will experience it, at least for that duration, for as long as they are singing. Gurujī placed the happiness of His own unity into the form of bhajan in such a way that whoever sings will experience it as well. So, observe your thinking, your vṛtti, and feel your heart. Observe your thoughts, your vṛttis, and the waves of bliss from the heart to the Sahasrāra Cakra, and from the Sahasrāra Cakra back to the heart. It’s a beautiful feeling if you observe this carefully. You can watch while you sing how the feeling of bliss awakens from the heart and goes to the Sahasrāra Cakra, and then from the Sahasrāra Cakra back to the heart. And that ocean is in different forms. Reality is also in different forms, which I explained to you before with the example of clouds. You know, nearly half of the ocean is in the sky all the time. Half of the ocean is like a cloud in the sky. So, what does that mean? The reality of that Brahman, the Supreme? That is knowledge. Gyāna. Ātmā Gyāna. Ātmā Gyāna. Ātmā Gyān. Gyān Ghaṭāle. Satguru Āyā. Amṛta Jala Barasāyā. Gyān Ghāṭāle. Satguru Āyā. Amrita jala barsāyā. Amṛta nira pyā mana bhara ke nirbhaya calā nirbhaya jñāna gāthā. Like heavy clouds, you saw today, you know, at noon time. That’s called ghaṭā. Gyan gatha Gyan gatha. Ghat means the pot, and ghaṭā means the heavy clouds. So jñāna means the wisdom, the knowledge. Jñāna ghaṭāle, Satguru āyā. My Gurudev came with that gāthā, that cloud, of wisdom. When you’re very hot, and then comes a nice, cool breeze. And it brings heavy clouds, not only for humans. Even a small blade of grass is happy, looking forward to that, knowing now finally rain will come. And he lit the rain, the rain of the nectar. You know, when the direct rain falls on the garden or on the vegetation, the vegetation becomes a different color and has a different happiness than when you give them water otherwise. One drop of rain has more energy for the plants than one liter of water which you take from your water table. This is Amṛta, the nectar. Amrit means when you drink the nectar, you become immortal. And here, nectar symbolizes the wise words, Guru Vākya. Nectar here symbolizes the word of wisdom. With the master comes immense wisdom. Amrita nir. Nir means the water, very pure, clean water. Nīr, that is very pure, clean, without any qualities mixed, and that’s direct knowledge, what we call first-hand information—our original fountain, the original source. And when you get that one, the thirsty one will drink and drink until the thirst is quenched. Amṛta nīr pīyā, man bhar kē—and then I drank, drank, until my mind was completely satisfied. Like in this bhajan, in this bhajan, all the vāsanās, all desires of the mind, are purified. Amṛta nīr pīyā, man bhar kē nirbhaya nē chand pāyā. Nirbhaya means fearless, no more fear. Nirbhaya. Ne chala. Achala, it means unmovable. Now, no more movement. Achala nitya, the eternal, motionless. Movement is there where emptiness is. In technology, in a mechanical system, you said there should be a tolerance space so you can move freely. But in wisdom, there is no tolerance; there is completeness. If this glass is full, then there is no movement in the water inside. But if it is empty, then there is movement. And when it is completely filled, full, then there will be no movement. So it means when you get this complete knowledge, there is no more longing, no more wondering here and there. Nirbhaya calā nirbhaya jñāna gāthā. I became fearless, one with you. I became one with you without fear. I am without fear; don’t be afraid. Abahama, Guru Charan, Satpapa, Sagarale, Saman, into the gold. Similarly, Gurujī is comparing himself, saying he was like iron, and by the touch of Mahāprabhujī, he was made like gold. And he spoke the mantra "so’ham" in my ears. What happened? Kaua hansa pataya. Now the crow became the swan, the paramahaṁsa. Through God, through that mantra of the Gurudev, the mantra he gave to me. Gurudeva’s words, Mahāprabhujī’s words, have changed into gold. The mantra of So’haṁ has entered my heart, and thus the Vāyu has become Hāṭhava. How? Through the mantra, through Gurudeva’s words. Like a philosopher's stone turns iron into gold.
