You ask someone which is the safe way to go and which is the dangerous way. If you follow what someone tells you—"this is the safe way, a little longer but safe"—then it means you will not encounter the dangers. So, what the holy saints are telling us is the safe way. Āge janam—āge means in the past, but āge could also be future. It depends which article you put afterwards, so āge means past and future. Āge janam aneka gamāyā. It means I lost many, many lives in the past. As soon as I came, I fell into the māyā and lost again. And māyā is not only in human life, but also in animal lives. So many, many lives are lost. What does "lost" mean? You were living, you were eating, you lived a life, but what does "lost" mean? The chance is lost because you were born for another purpose, not for this purpose. The chance is lost because you were not born for that purpose, for what you were doing, but for something else. In the past, I lost many lives. Why? Why did you lose? Guru bina bheda na pāyā. Because without Gurū Dev, I couldn't understand the meaning, the secret of this life, the purpose of this life. What is the purpose of life? Everything that God has created in this world has some sense in it; if we don't understand, that's our mistake. I couldn't realize or understand the meaning of these, but now through my Gurū Dev, I got the meanings of life. I realized that. Pāyā, bhed, khed—khed means unhappiness. Khed means sorrows. Khed is the opposite of happiness. Pāyā, bhed, khed—all my unhappiness is gone. What happened then? Udbhava bhāna ugayā in my heart. The sun rose in my heart. The sun has risen in my heart. The darkness of ignorance disappeared. The darkness of knowledge vanished. Like early morning dawn and the sun rises—sunrise in my heart. Śrī Pūjya Bhagavān Dīp Nārāyaṇa Mahāprabhujī. Hansa pāṭāyā—liberated the swans, and swans means the jīvātmā, these jīvas. He is the leader of the swans. The swan is the symbol of the jīvātmā. Numerous souls he liberated. Similarly, in the same way, Gurujī said, "Kahi Mādhavānanda ānanda hai." Holy Gurujī is saying, "I have ānanda." Blissful—now I am in bliss. Why?
