Janmasthami - incarnation of Lord Krishna

The incarnation of Kṛṣṇa is universal, meant for the entire planet. Kṛṣṇa is the complete incarnation representing the entire cosmic consciousness. He manifests through divine power in every age to protect righteousness and the devoted, to dispel ignorance and destroy evil. The specific birthplace of a saint is irrelevant, as the whole world is one divine family and the light of God is within every being. This incarnation brings light into darkness, guiding from ignorance to knowledge. All sincere and positive spiritual aspirations are known and will be fulfilled by the inner guide, in due time.

"Time to time I manifest myself... to protect my bhaktas... to bring the light of knowledge and destroy the darkness of ignorance."

"Lead us from the darkness to the light."

Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

According to Indian time, the moment of Śrī Kṛṣṇa’s birth, his incarnation, has just now occurred, and during this time we were engaged in prayer. The incarnation of Kṛṣṇa was not only for India, nor only for humanity, but for the entire planet. There are twenty-four incarnations, and among these twenty-four, one is Kṛṣṇa. Kṛṣṇa is also the complete incarnation of the Supreme; the entire cosmic consciousness is represented in Kṛṣṇa. Many of you know about this. In the Bhagavad Gītā, Kṛṣṇa said to Arjuna: "Arjuna, time to time I manifest myself through my yoga śakti, yoga māyā. For the sake of dharma, to protect my bhaktas"—my bhaktas means all spiritual humans—"to bring the light of knowledge and destroy the darkness of ignorance, to destroy the evil energy, the evil power from this planet. Time to time, I incarnate where it is needed." This means he incarnates many times in every yuga. In every yuga he comes. Therefore, it does not matter where a spiritual saint is incarnated, whether in India, the Australian continent, Australia, Africa, or Europe. It does not matter; all belongs to God. The whole world is the family of one God. Each and every entity represents the Supreme One. There is no difference. In everyone is the light of God. Before Kṛṣṇa incarnated, there were many negative energies—devils, more or less. Those who know what Kṛṣṇa is, they know what the Bhagavad Gītā is. It is said: Kṛṣṇa knows the Gītā, and mother knows the Gītā. Who knows Kṛṣṇa can understand what the Bhagavad Gītā is. Only the mother knows who the father is, so we have to go to the origin. For this holy occasion, for this divine day, I bless all of you in the name of Lord Kṛṣṇa, in the name of Mahāprabhujī, who was an incarnation of Viṣṇu. And you know, in the name of Gurujī, who realized the Kṛṣṇa consciousness—meaning the consciousness of Mahāprabhujī. I wish that all your wishes come true, and that your spiritual sādhanā progresses and improves day by day. Whatever saṅkalpa you make, be sure it will come true. But it should be a positive saṅkalpa. A negative saṅkalpa never comes true. And God knows what you need. That is why there is one picture of Mahāprabhujī holding a finger here. That indicates: you need not talk; I know. Be quiet. You need not speak, because He, the Antaryāmī, the knower of our inner self, the Lord of our heart—the time will come and He will fulfill your wish. If not in this life, then be sure in the next life. Somehow, if we miss the next life, then perhaps in a few lives, but sooner or later, definitely. Deepa Dayal Yajasur Prabhu, Deepa Dayal Yajasur, kar kirpā moye satsaṅg, jo kar kirpā moye satsaṅg dī. So today is Janmāṣṭamī. Na Janma Aṣṭamī. Aṣṭamī means the eighth day. Aṣṭamī znamená osmý den. You know, the month is divided into two phases: the fourth night of the moon—the moonlight, and the fourth night is the dark night. The moonlight is that from which, from the new moon, day by day, the moon grows to the full moon. This is called Śukla Pakṣa. It means the light. And from the Pūrṇimā, the full moon day, day by day, the moon is reducing, decreasing, till it becomes dark. So this is a dark phase. And in this time, Kṛṣṇa was born on the eighth day. This means the light in darkness. Tamaso mā jyotira vema ya. Lead us from the darkness to the light. Deep Nārāyaṇa Bhagavān Kṛṣṇa Kanayālāl Kījanā.
