In the Bhagavad Gītā, God Kṛṣṇa says, "Arjuna, among the siddhas, among the perfections, I am the great sage Kapilamuni." Siddhānāṁ Kapilo—I am Kapila Muni. There was no siddha as great as Kapila Muni. He lived long ago, even before Kṛṣṇa's incarnation. Our Akhāṛā—now you all belong to the Mahānirvāṇī Akhāṛā; since I belong there, you belong there also—our spiritual lineage of the Mahānirvāṇī Akhāṛā is older than the incarnations of Kṛṣṇa and Rāma by many thousands of years. Kapila Muni is the worship deity of our Akhāṛā. You can read about him on the internet. There exist beautiful śāstras about him and what he wrote. I would say India is an ocean of wisdom. I am not saying this merely because I am Indian, born there. I would say the same about the Czech lands. But reality is reality. There is no other country where so many spiritual, holy, and philosophical scriptures exist. You only have to study Sanskrit and dive into that beauty, that glory, that immortality, that nectar, that fountain of joy, that immortal ocean of wisdom. You will be surprised by the vastness of the written work. O man, know thyself. You should know that you are a human. Do not develop animal tendencies. Know the dignity of human life. Lead the noble way of human life. Awaken human qualities. And what is a human? You will realize this only through those scriptures. When you come to know this, you will feel great sorrow for what you did in the past, for what you lost, and for how little time remains. It is sunset time, and you have the whole day in front of you. How can you hold the sun so it will not go down? Perhaps we must fly with the Concorde to keep the sun there. And so, how many great sages were there? Siddhas, perfect ones, knowledge—so many things. In the 10th chapter of the Bhagavad Gītā, God Kṛṣṇa describes this, and you should read that chapter. Therefore, I often say to you: O man, drinking, eating, enjoying, creating children, and sleeping—animals are also very active in this. If you are doing only this much, where is the difference between animals and you? You should know that you are a human. For what purpose has this life been given to you? So, Kapila Munijī was a very great siddha, one whom Kṛṣṇa compares Himself to, saying He is Kapila Muni. There is no one greater than him. We found somewhere a nice, very old painting of Kapila Muni. I gave it to one of our disciples, a very good painter, and he painted it very beautifully. He sent me a photo by email, and I printed it. Originally, he gave the painting to one of the Czech girls living in Atlanta, as the picture was painted in Atlanta by an Indian. She was carrying it in her hand. Her luggage went through the security screening, she took her other luggage, and she forgot the picture there. After three weeks or fifteen days, she realized she had lost it. What can one expect from Czech ladies? Oh, thank God I must protect it. So I told the artist to please repaint it, and I hope he will. But what we got was a nice email, and we printed it. So we have here the photo of Kapila Muni. It is beautiful. It is said that when he was meditating in his hut, an aura like a rising sun, a great light, appeared above it. You cannot compare our sādhanā; we cannot compare with him. That's a joke; what we are doing is a joke compared to him. His self-control was absolute, all indriyas under control, his consciousness clear, his mind steady, and he was simultaneously present in all three lokas—past, present, and future. Even God does not dare to come and disturb him. Even God does not matter; which God will adore and salute the yogī? If you are a perfect yogī, even God will adore you. But why are we not perfect yogīs? Because of our laziness and our desires. I will not say many things; you know something can still be realized.
