Mental Training
The mind is a wild elephant, a mighty power that can be trained through logical thinking and mental techniques. Observe that everything constantly changes; this turning world is called saṃsāra. Wise ones think logically, not selfishly. Selfishness is a problem requiring self-treatment: think for others, not just yourself. It is difficult to know others' feelings, but do not be greedy or attached, for attachment brings suffering. Give others a chance; this culture of courtesy unites people and creates love. Do not make differences among people; have equal vision to avoid jealousy. Your mental development requires giving up greed and the feeling of "only me." Success is not in taking or in business, which often means cheating, but in giving—your attention, love, and chance to others. Clean your inner platform of rocks like selfishness, greed, ego, anger, and hate, so your mind, the pilot, can manage. A yogī should not have hate, which is a subtle form of hiṁsā.
"Think logically. As you think for yourself, think for others too."
"Successful is the one who succeeded in giving everything. To take is not difficult, but to give is difficult."
