Some people say that a healthy body houses a healthy mind. This statement we accept in part and reject in part. The body can be ill while the mind remains perfectly healthy. To insist otherwise is a form of discrimination against those who may have physical challenges but possess a sound and healthy mind. What those who say "a healthy body has a healthy mind" likely intend is that when a physically healthy person falls ill, their mental power often becomes weaker. Their thoughts become consumed by their ailments: "Oh God, I have kidney problems," "Oh God, I have heart problems," "Oh, my pancreas." A new diagnosis arrives: the thyroid. "Oh God, the doctor said my spine is not good." Then another determination: "I have cancer." With this focus, the mind of that person, their psyche, grows weaker and weaker. Therefore, it is said: "You are not this body. You are not this mind. You are not this intellect." You are the ātmā, which cannot be killed by any weapons. No elements can destroy it, and death cannot take it away. You are immortal, indescribable, divine; that is the light of God that is within you, which cannot fall ill.
