There is Only One God
There is only one supreme, formless reality called Brahman, present in every atom of the universe. To understand this is difficult, as it leads to questions like how a bullet containing God can kill. Vedānta states there is only one, non-dual Brahman; duality implies change, but the Divine within us never changes. Our changing body and mind contrast with that eternal Self. All other gods are manifestations of the formless into form, like Rāma or Kṛṣṇa. Figures like Jesus or Buddha are also holy, manifested beings; upon enlightenment, there is no difference between the Self and the Supreme. Our human journey through light and darkness seeks the realization of this oneness.
"Eko Brahma Dvitīyo Nāsti. There is only one, that is God; that is Brahman."
"One in all and all in one. Unless we realize this, our endless journey will not end."
