Dream is another reality -- there can be dreams from prevous lives
Consciousness transcends bodily death, traveling with the astral body into future lives through the mechanisms of karma: Prārabdha, Sanchita, and Āgāmi. Action begets reaction in a perpetual cycle, yet human discernment allows navigation of this destined path. While signs may warn of fate, heeding wise counsel can alter its course, much as medicine prevents poison's harm. Past impressions reside in the unconscious, surfacing in dreams, which constitute another layer of reality. Mastery begins by observing the transition from wakefulness to sleep. One then learns to cross into the dream state, where actions do not generate physical karma but can awaken latent desires. By practicing control—waking and resuming the same dream, then performing physical acts before returning to it—one advances toward Yoga Nidrā. This discipline reveals the three ordinary states of consciousness and leads to Turīya, the fourth state of pure awareness. In this supreme realization, the duality of knower and known dissolves into non-dual Samādhi. Both waking life and dream are ultimately illusory projections of Māyā, veiling the sole reality: the eternal, blissful Self. Obsession with past grievances only perpetuates inner torment.
"Past is gone. Future is not here. Your future will be like your presence."
"Brahma-śaktir jagat mithyā—this life is a dream."
