Our sadhana should be lifelong
Sādhanā is a lifelong practice of confidence, not for transient life but for eternal divine consciousness. This worldly life is impermanent like a bubble; its pleasures may be obstacles, its hardships guidance. We mistakenly claim ownership of what God freely gave for self-realization. The greatest obstacle is losing motivation. A practitioner meditated for 70 years feeling nothing happened, yet his presence proved unseen progress. Self-realization is not felt; feeling it causes its loss. Observing an ant persistently carrying a grain of rice taught him never to give up. Do not celebrate early; wait for the sunset. Another story tells of a dying figure unable to pass until his daughter vowed to forsake marriage and continue his spiritual mission, taking the spiritual heritage no one else would.
"Never let any negative thoughts enter your mind. It doesn't matter what happens; whatever is happening to us in this life will remain here."
"So don't celebrate the day too early; wait till the sunset is there, then it will be."
