It is said that when you overcome and purify your negative karmas, you will come to enlightenment. Upon enlightenment, your individuality is lost. It is like a single drop of water falling into the ocean; the drop becomes one with the ocean and is a drop no more. Similarly, each drop of rain comes together, unites, and becomes a creek. It joins a river, and every river flows toward the ocean. Why? Because the ocean is its origin. Thus, every religion is such a river, and we are the water within it. Our direction is God. This journey brings happiness and harmony to body, mind, and soul. Yoga can grant us perfect health. Yoga is not a theory; it is a practical path. If you practice, you will receive the benefit. If you do not practice, you will gain nothing. Mere talk yields nothing. If a hungry person is shown a beautiful picture of food, their stomach will not be filled—it will only increase their appetite. The jāṭharāgni, the digestive fire, will grow stronger, meaning they will become hungrier. So too, the world's pictures and theories cannot solve our problems. Tons of theory are as nothing compared to a single gram of practice. That practice is the yoga you must undertake. You must pray, you must meditate, you must practice āsanas and prāṇāyāma. You must practice your mantra. It is not enough to merely possess a mantra; that alone is nothing. One day, you must decide to say no to one thing and yes to another. Something must happen that opens our eyes. Therefore, dear brothers and sisters, the aim of human life is to become one with God again. This is the human mission. The difference between other creatures and humans is this: humans possess a powerful intellect. This human intellect can be developed endlessly, but it requires an instrument for training: education. This must be ethical education, the kind that makes a human truly human—not that which makes a human a thief, a criminal, or a terrorist. Human life is given for God-realization. Eating, sleeping, drinking, and procreating—animals are also very active and expert in these. Oh man, if you are doing only this much, then where is the difference between animals and humans? Secondly, God sent humans to this planet as protectors, not as destroyers. So, try to protect everyone without distinction—whether human, animal, or any other creature. If humans possess understanding, and with it a love that can feel the pain and situation of others, that is why the human heart is more awakened than the animal heart. To feel love, pain, or happiness—animals also share these feelings. But to feel the suffering of others—physical, mental, emotional, social—only the human heart can understand this, with the help of the intellect. Thus, we must coordinate both the heart and the brain. Therefore, yoga teaches us to realize our human aim. Recording location: Hungary, Szeged, Weekend seminar
