Mantra should be practised

Mantra is the foundational cosmic resonance from which all creation arises. It is a sound that shapes reality. The mantra received from the true guide is most appropriate, but it requires systematic practice with proper technique for safety and success. Perfection is sought in five techniques: Vācik, Upāṁśu, Mānasik, Likhit, and Ājapā. In Upāṁśu, half the resonance circulates within the body. Chant the mantra aloud daily; the melody matters not, for God loves equally. The true guide assumes responsibility for the devotee's destiny upon surrender, leaving only practice. The guide is the captain to the other shore; jumping ship is not the captain's error.

"God takes upon Himself the destiny of the devotees."

"Tērī sat-gururāke lāja cintā mat karnā, cintā mat karnā, nirbhaira honi saṅka kabhi mat ḍarnā."

Mantra is the cosmic resonance. It is the beginning of all creations on this planet and in the entire universe. It is that sound, that resonance, which penetrates through the different elements, shapes different colors, and produces different effects. The mantra we receive from Satguru Deva is the most appropriate mantra for us. However, merely possessing a mantra is not enough. It must be practiced systematically. Without technique, there is little success. Where there is proper technique, there is safety, success, and a pleasant, beautiful experience. Therefore, it is advised to achieve perfection in the five different techniques: Vācik, Upāṁśu, Mānasik, Likhit, and Ājapā. Upāṁśu is like when you say something after a long, long time; you still hear the resonance within yourself. Fifty percent of that resonance goes into the space, and fifty percent circulates within your body, resonating in your Cidākāśa. The sound you send into this space should be positive. Therefore, every day, try to chant your mantra loudly with your own melody. It does not matter if you sing a good melody or a beautiful melody. God loves equally. Children do not speak very clearly, but we love their speaking and are so happy. Similarly, it does not matter how you speak the name of God; God is happy. God is pleased because you are returning to your origin, to eternal peace, happiness, joy, and light. God is working harder for you than you are working for yourself and for God. God loves you more than you love yourself and Him. Śrī Devpurījī, our Satgurudev, the Guru of Mahāprabhujī, said that God takes upon Himself the destiny of the devotees. Guru Dev takes upon himself the destiny of the devotee. Parents take upon themselves the mistakes of children, but they cannot take their destiny. However, Gurudev, our God, can take the responsibility of the destiny. But you must change your direction to correct or protect yourself from a destiny that may be negative. Once you surrender to the Gurudev—meaning you give your confidence and your devotion—then you have nothing to worry about. Only one thing remains: practice. Gurudev is the captain who will comfortably and safely bring our ship to the other shore. But if you jump out in the middle, that is not the captain's mistake. Then you become breakfast for the sharks. Therefore, our beloved Holy Gurujī Swāmī Madhavānandjī said in a beautiful bhajan: Tērī sat-gururāke lāja cintā mat karnā, cintā mat karnā, nirbhaira honi saṅka kabhi mat ḍarnā. Tum nirvaira oni śaṅk, kabhī mat ḍarnā.
