One day, we were all sitting together—Mahāmaṇḍaleshwaras—at the Kumbh Melā. We waited for two or three hours for the thousands of sādhus to arrive, be seated, and receive food. One of the Mahāmaṇḍaleshwaras held me tightly in the final days of the Melā; Niranjanandajī was holding my hand tightly and with strength—he was a strong man. Another Mahāmaṇḍaleshwar said it was divine to be together. "Who knows who will be with us or not at the next Kumbh Melā in Ilāhābād?" That is all, my dear. Our anger, our doubt, our jealousy, our hate, our greed—everything will remain here. Nothing will go with us. It is good to prepare now to renounce. While driving from Vienna to here, I turned on the radio—Ö1, the Austrian station. There were stories about some monks, Orthodox monks from Greece, who lived on a pillar, a rock pillar seven or fourteen meters high. He was known as a pillar monk. Perhaps the rock was wide and looked like a pillar. He went away to find peace from this crazy civilization, to meditate. Yet people from different religions, not only the Orthodox Church but from various churches and faiths, used to go there for advice. He said if you want to have eternal life—"ewiges Leben," as they say in German—then give everything up. Donate, help poor people, poor animals. Give, give, give. That will give you eternal life: Tyāga. Holy Gurujī often said, "Enter the kingdom of the Lord through the gate of sacrifice." So renounce not only material things but also your inner feelings, your emotions, your hate, your jealousy, your complexion. Otherwise, you are torturing yourself. How long will you torture? We have such a beautiful relationship with this world, and the more you torture yourself, the quicker you age and damage your health. Those happy minutes of your life, no matter in what form, make your life long. The love we call material love is very good, but one day it will be painful. It will be so painful that we have to cry. I had a great love for Niranjanandajī. All of us have love, and we should be thankful to God as long as this love is within us. This love is not physical love; physical love is momentary only. It is like wild water. But the love is in the heart, and that love should be converted or turned into eternal love. It will then become beautiful. As long as I think of my selfishness, my sin, I will be suffering. But in my Ābhā Maṇḍala, in my aura, in my energy, there should become oneness. If I become selfish, individualistic, I am lost in this vast jungle—no way to come out anywhere. So we all are in oneness. Yes, there are some things: I don't like this, I don't like that—that's a little bit, you know. But in reality, I see that we love each other; you love each other so much. Whoever does not love you is suffering. Like brother and sister, gurū-bhāī and gurū-sister. Our husbands and wives, our parents and children, our friends—that will create a beautiful new generation. This we should teach to our youngest ones, what we learn. So do not give your children toys like weapons. They have little pistols and such. Some children, when parents come home, hide behind the door and with plastic toys say, "There's no way around it." Who buys them the toys? You. Who allows them? You. Why do they act like this? Because of you. How? You are not capable of educating your children; you are not capable of giving that kind of love for them to understand. You know the story of Prahlāda, Bhakta Prahlāda. Bhakta Prahlāda was a small child. He came to school, to kindergarten, and taught all the children to sing bhajans. When he went to school, he taught all the children to sing bhajans. That was in his heart. Therefore, this is the beautiful thing we can do to achieve our end. Help others. We know many people are angry. I have so many lovely people like you; I cannot blame anything. I am sunk in your love, in your devotion. Like putting a white cloth in dye: you put it in, and it comes out colored. But do not think that all love is family. That is the world. Our duty is to be free, to love, to respect, and to do the good we can do. No blaming, no torturing. Finally, nothing will go with us. So never teach your children, "Why should I be good to others? Why should I be kind to others? Why should I be humble?" This is not a thought for a spiritual or good you. But you know, one drop fills the pot. Also on the radio today, there was that one drop which falls and can make a hole in the rock.
