How to accept?

Acceptance is the simple recognition that things exist as they are, unchanged by our opinion, so we should not suffer but accept and find protection. The ultimate protection is faith in the sacred name of God, our mantra; with true worship and reverence, all problems dissolve. However, disappointment is inevitable because attachment and expectation inherently breed it; even without personal betrayal, death brings the painful separation from loved ones. Therefore, do not become attached. Remember that destiny is the product of your own deeds, the fruit of your karma, and within it lies something no one can take from you.

"Be the change you want to see."

"Do not carry, do not have, believe in your destiny."

How should we accept and digest things? It is very simple. Things exist as they are. Whether you accept them or not does not change them. So why suffer? Simply accept and find protection. Accept the cold weather and protect yourself with warm clothes. Accept the hot weather and protect yourself with a fan or air conditioner. For us, the best protection is the name of God, our mantra. The best protection is God's name, our mantra. We believe in it. We are full of trust and respect. That mantra, that name, is sacred for us. The Divine is in that mantra. That is the truth. That is God within it. We worship, we believe, we respect, we adore. If you have these feelings, then all problems will go away. If you do not have these feelings, problems can always be there. Sooner or later, there is disappointment. So why should we get attached to things? Attachment is a cause of disappointment. Expectation leads to disappointment. Therefore, when you begin some attachment, then parallel to the attachment, disappointment is developing. Sooner or later, disappointment will take over. If not through some actions, then through nature: we love our dear ones—our parents, children, friends, partners—and they may never disappoint us, but one day, through death, they will be separated. That is painful. That pain of death, the separation, is another form of disappointment. Then we begin to blame ourselves: "I could have done this better, I could have done that better." Therefore, we should always remember these words of Gandhijī; it is a lifelong guidance, this sentence: "Be the change you want to see." Therefore, Jesus said, "Do not carry, do not have, believe in your destiny." Destiny is the product of our deeds, our karma; the result, the fruits of the karma, is the destiny. In your destiny, something is there that no one can take away. Anyone can take from your hands, but not from your destiny.
