The king of all Universe

A spiritual discourse on self-mastery and inner sovereignty.

"You are the king of your mind and your senses. Do not be their slave."

"Your decision is the best decision. And your decision, which you have been thinking about for weeks and months—check once more within."

The speaker delivers a teaching on recognizing one's own inner spiritual kingdom and the importance of ruling oneself rather than being enslaved by the mind, senses, or external pressures. Using the metaphor of a king and anecdotes including one about Guruji, the discourse encourages self-trust, intuition, and balanced action, advising listeners to discover their innate talents and not be forced by outer influences. The talk connects this self-mastery to broader well-being and simplicity.

The physical world is one side, and the spiritual world is the other. The physical world will disappoint you, but the spiritual world will not. And that spiritual world—do not search for it outside; it is within you. You are the king of all. Yet, though you are the king of yourself, you do not know how to rule your kingdom; that is your problem. Once, the Indian president invited Gurujī. When Gurujī arrived, they welcomed him and put him in a nice room. The president's personal secretary phoned that room and asked Gurujī some questions to confirm his identity. The secretary was South Indian and could not speak Hindi well. He asked, "Swāmījī, what is your designation?" Gurujī said, "King of the whole universe." So you are the king. You are the king of this world within thyself, of your own inner world. One great saint said: "Tu manendriyon kā rājā, ātmā yantra jānī." You are the king of your mind and your senses. Do not be their slave. "Kāyā nāgrīkā rājā." You are the king of this whole body. Do you know what is going on in your kingdom? If your kingdom is not under your view and control, you fail to be a king. You become the slave; you lose the dignity of being a king. Therefore, make good decisions. Do not always do what others say. Do your work, oh God. Do not worry about what you will wear or what you will eat. Do not force anyone to work; they will work. Who gave the beak will also give the food. "Wer Schnabel gegeben hat, wird auch Futter geben." Stimmt? So ist das. Why did God give you the beak? Not only for "hum, hum, hum, hum," and so mom gives something for "hum," and Gurudev gives you "so hum." Therefore, follow your intuition. Your work and relaxation should be balanced. Remember, work and relaxation are balanced. It means you are not in stress now; otherwise, it is called burnout. Because you work too long and too hard, therefore, do not be nervous. You will work. Your wife should have confidence in you; she should not force you to go and work, or your husband, or your parents, or your mother. That is it. So your decision is the best decision. And your decision, which you have been thinking about for weeks and months—check once more within. Do not depend on the outside; then you will be happy. Then the material world and spiritual world will be balanced. Otherwise, if you pray and say to God, "I do not want to work. Who gave the beak will give the food," then God might say, "Yes, I made a mistake." But I did not make a mistake. I gave you the beak; at the same time, I gave you wings and legs. Go and search for your food, find your food; that is it. So God has given everything. But take rest, relax; then again some intuition will come. Yes, what should I do? You have a talent for painting, but your parents are forcing you to be a musician. And you do not understand what it is, but you do not have a talent for it at all. If you are like me, you simply do not have a talent for music, so you know your talent. Work according to that; you will be successful. There you can put yourself in; you are not forced by outer forces. So it is very easy. If all will follow these directions, then this global crisis will not be suffered. Then there would be no global crisis. We have enough of everything; Mother Earth provides us with what we need, but not enough for the greed of certain companies. Therefore, it is said that the happiest is the farmer, who has land, grows vegetables and crops, and has a cow for milk and "harry hopes" and such. What I want to say is: trust in yourself. When you trust in yourself, then you trust in God. And research thyself spiritually, and also mentally and physically, I mean. Okay? So, practice, practice, practice.
