Work on your manipura chakra

A spiritual discourse on endurance and the Maṇipūra Chakra.

"To realize the fruits of your actions, you must be like a tree... The tree endures everything and, in doing so, develops within itself the strength to survive."

"Whenever you feel a little sad, or have some kind of pain, troubles, or problems... place your hand on the Maṇipūra Chakra. Relax... and follow the rhythm of the breath."

The speaker offers guidance on cultivating inner strength, first through the metaphor of an enduring tree and then through a specific yogic practice focused on the Maṇipūra Chakra. He describes the chakra's qualities and provides a simple breath-focused technique for overcoming sorrow and regaining confidence. The talk concludes with a personal anecdote about a man finding happiness after loss, leading to reflections on accepting life's dualities.

To realize the fruits of your actions, you must be like a tree. Consider how many years a tree stands in the field, enduring days, months, and years of varied situations and weather: storms, rain, cold, heat, and drought. The tree endures everything and, in doing so, develops within itself the strength to survive. There is a practice in yoga, also found in Yoga In Daily Life and described in the book The Hidden Power in Humans: work on your Maṇipūra Chakra. Work on the Maṇipūra Chakra and awaken its energy. Concentrate on the Maṇipūra Chakra. The Maṇipūra Chakra holds jewels: the jewels of wisdom, love, happiness, and many others. The Maṇipūra Chakra allows all work to be done in peace and harmony. It reflects on the Anāhata and Ājñā Chakras, but the seed of that consciousness from the beginning is the Maṇipūra Chakra. Therefore, whenever you feel a little sad, or have some kind of pain, troubles, or problems in the world—when you want to solve certain things and find it impossible—place your hand on the Maṇipūra Chakra. Relax, or lie down on the bed, and follow the rhythm of the breath, observing how the stomach expands and contracts. It is like a wave. Suddenly, you will feel like a little baby in a cradle. When a baby feels secure in the hands of its parents, it is relaxed and happy. Similarly, all your sorrows will go away, and you will regain self-confidence. There was a Hungarian man who wanted to die, who wanted to commit suicide because his wife left him. Somehow, I managed to persuade him not to do it. He was lucky; after five years—so quickly, in just five years—he found someone else. She was strict with him, and he was so happy. He said, "Swāmījī, my life is in heaven. You know, my wife loves me like my mother did, and she is so nice. My life is now complete. Thanks, Mahāprabhujī, that the other one went away." So that Hungarian couple is happy. We do not know why such things happen. Perhaps sometimes it happens purposely; God is testing us. It is an examination, or sometimes it carries a good indication. Expect both good and bad. Let us come. Recording location: Czech Republic, Strilky, Summer seminar
