Gurujī’s message was one of non-duality. His message was to find the truth, knowledge, and true education. It was a message of non-duality aimed at removing all bad habits and detrimental traditional practices. Gurujī led a life of great simplicity and higher thought. In his honor, we hold the World Peace Summit each year. There is a story about Rabindranath Tagore. One evening at sunset, he was walking in his garden and saw the sun going down. Rabindranath Tagore said the sun was worried and sad. The sun said, "My time has passed, and now the darkness of night is coming. Is there someone who can take my place to show the way in this dark night?" Half the sun was already below the horizon. Nearby, there was a small Śiva temple where it was time for prayer. The temple bell was ringing. Rabindranath looked and saw the ghee lamp of the āratī. He said that small flame spoke to the sun: "I cannot be the sun like you, but I will try to give light to show the way." We cannot be like Gurujī, but we can be that small flame. Confucius said, "When the way is dark and you can't see anything, it is better to light a candle than to stand in the darkness." When many candles are lit, they create a strong light. That candle represents wisdom and hearts dedicated to peace. The world needs peace now. Thanks to God, you live in a country where there is peace, but it was not always so. Look at history: how many of your ancestors died in wars? How many children were left without a father? How many young women became widows? How much cruelty was there? And where are they now? What did they gain? What did they take with them? It is said the whole world is one family of one God. We must realize this oneness again. Consider how many millions of children lack access to clean water. How many families, with all their children waiting, do not have a handful of rice to eat? It is not that they have nothing, but political situations have placed them in that condition. Therefore, it is very important to be part of the World Peace Summit. I believe you will all come with other bhaktas and your colleagues. It does not matter if they do not believe in spirituality; they should at least come for the World Peace Conference. Be a part of it. When the saints are marching, I want to be among them, to be one of them. This peace conference is a marching of the saints. It is Holy Gurujī's words and his work. For the one who gives the best advice and words, who brings the teaching of holy gurus and supports this conference, and who helps spread Gurujī's message, we are considering awarding a world peace prize to Śrī Swāmī Mādhavānanda. We were supposed to hold the conference in Budapest, as you may know. It is good I am telling you this, otherwise you might go to Budapest. In Budapest, it would have been too expensive for us—the halls, accommodations, and food. So we decided to be in Szombathely. Szombathely is three or four kilometers from Vép, and we will also have accommodation in Vép. So do not go to Budapest. Come to Vép. I wish you all the best. It was nice to see you.
