Ishvara Pranidhana
The destiny of the devotee is taken on by God, but one must first be a devotee. This state is Īśvara Praṇidhāna. It is not achieved through ritual offerings or verbal declarations of love. True surrender requires no act of giving anything up. One must simply be present, recognizing that divine presence is within every cell of one's being. All thought, eating, and work should be done in the name of God, with positive intention for universal well-being. The practice is to have work in the hands and God's name on the lips. However, if one chants God's name while concealing malice, divine help will not come.
"Ātme kām aur mukme Rām."
"For that, God will never come to help."
