Guru kripa makes everything possible

A satsang discourse on the grace and principle of the Guru.

"Whatever you wish in your mind, by the grace of Gurudev, nothing is impossible." "What is not possible, Gurudev can do. Or what is going to happen, Gurudev can remove it."

Swami Ji addresses devotees on his birthday, illustrating the Guru's boundless grace through personal anecdotes, like securing good weather for the gathering. He explains the supreme power of the Nitya Avatāra (eternal incarnation) as the Guru principle, describing it as pure, immovable consciousness beyond duality. The talk includes Sanskrit verses defining the Guru, emphasizes following Guru's word, and concludes with blessings for spiritual progress.

Deep Nārāyaṇa Bhagavān kī, Deveśvara Mahādeva kī, Mādhav Kṛṣṇa Bhagavān kī, Svarūpa Rāmacandra Bhagavān kī, Kṛṣṇa Kanayalāl kī, Sanātanadharma kī. Good evening, dear brothers and sisters, all devotees of Mahāprabhujī here and around the world. It does not matter where you are today; we are one with our astral being through the waves of our thoughts. Often, I say on full moon night that we shall all look at the full moon at the same time, and you will see our spiritual radiance going to the moon. Then I see, like, an umbrella, and we all meet there. To tell the truth, to be physically together is much better than to be only mentally together. That is also beautiful, but it is very difficult. It is not easy to give satisfaction or contentment to our heart. But nevertheless, we are here, and thank you for your good wishes and congratulations for my birthday on the 15th of August. Gurudev, Mahāprabhujī, Holy Gurujī always fulfills our wish. Govind Purī was saying something about Gurujī's love towards his devotees and especially towards me. But you know that my love for him was not only in every mantra and every heartbeat, but a complete oneness. Holy Gurujī said many times that whatever I wish will come true. Yes, he said it, and Mahāprabhujī had to work hard. How is it possible? It will be possible, but it is possible. In India, many things you think are impossible become possible. For example, when people are traveling from Jaipur to Delhi for the airport, there is a lot of traffic and jams. They say, "Oh God, we will miss our airplane." They are near Delhi, 10 or 5 kilometers from the airport, and there is so much traffic they are sure they will miss the plane. But finally, they are surprised to find themselves sitting on the plane. So everything happens through Guru Kṛpā. Just three days ago, Pārvatī and I were trying to organize a very big tent for today's satsaṅg. The biggest tent we could find was about 800 or 900 square meters, which is not enough for half or a quarter of us. Pārvatī said perhaps the weather would be good. I said to Holy Gurujī, "How nice it was when Holy Gurujī was here and my birthday was here." Guru Pūrṇimā was also... So I asked for nice weather. The forecast said rain and cold, that cold waves would come. The cold waves came only as far as the Brno and Vienna, Austria border, and then it changed. To my surprise, yesterday they said hot waves would come. And so today, at this time, we see nothing in the sky except airplanes flying. Such nice weather. Whatever you wish in your mind, by the grace of Gurudev, nothing is impossible. What you wish, God will make true. Nothing is impossible for Mahāprabhujī. Nothing is impossible for God to do. Yesterday we spoke about Nitya Avatāra and Nimit Avatāra. A Nimit avatāra has limited possibilities to fulfill wishes. Like Brahmā, for example, or Viṣṇu, or Śiva. When bhaktas ask for immortality, they say, "Sorry, we cannot give you immortality," but they can fulfill any other wish. It is said that to make you immortal is in the hands of Gurudev. A Nitya Avatāra has this power. Therefore, it is said: if God has done something wrong, the saints can correct it. But if saints have done something wrong, God cannot correct it. That is a protocol, an understanding between them. What is not possible, Gurudev can do. Or what is going to happen, Gurudev can remove it. He can make everything, but we must have faith. You know the story about Śrī Devapurījī. There is the Kailash Ashram in the village Kailash, and a neighboring village less than a kilometer away called Jal Dhingpur. There was a merchant who had no children and wished very much for some. Both husband and wife were above 50, nearly 60. One day Devapurījī came and said, "One chapati, one son; two chapatis, two sons." The lady making breakfast had already made three chapatis. She ran and gave all three to Devapurījī. He said, "Okay, so you will get three sons." And they did. That son, born by Devapurījī's blessings, and his children live in Jaipur. Whenever they come, they tell me this story: what is not going to happen can happen when Gurudev acts. So our benefit is that we follow Guru Vākya. Rāma and Kṛṣṇa say, "Kaun baḍe?" Who is greater? They also had a Gurudev. They are the gods of all three worlds, but still they surrender to Gurudev and follow the Guru Vākya. Follow what Satguru says. We have to understand guru tattva. We have to understand this divine element, guru tattva, in the universe. It is not a body. Do not think that he or she is like us. We eat, they eat. We drink water, they drink water. We sleep, they sleep. We are ill, they are ill. This is prakṛti, and they are above the prakṛtis. Trigunarahitaṁ brahmānandaṁ paramsukhadaṁ kevalaṁ jñānamūrtiṁ dvandvātītaṁ gaganasadṛśaṁ tasmāsyādilakṣaṇaṁ ekam nityaṁ vimalāchalaṁ sarvādhiṣakṣibhūtaṁ bhavātītaṁ triguṇarahitaṁ satgurutāṁ namāmyaham. Ekam nityaṁ brahmānandaṁ paramasukhadaṁ. The Gurudeva is called the supreme bliss, supreme happiness: brahmānandaṁ paramasukhadaṁ kevalaṁ jñānamūrtim. So the embodiment of Gurudev is only wisdom, knowledge. Look to that knowledge: Brahmanandaṁ paramasukhadaṁ kevalaṁ jñānamūrtiṁ dvandvātītaṁ gaganasadṛśam. It is above all yours and mine, above all dualities. His Consciousness is like this clear sky today. There is not even a single spot of cloud. It is equal everywhere. This is the consciousness of the Gurudev. It is not that your master loves you less and others more. That is our ignorance. The sun shines for all, not for particular persons or animals. Gagana-sadṛśyaṁ tasmāsyādi lakṣyam. And this is the aim of everyone, to achieve. Ekam nityaṁ vimalam achalam. Only the one truth of God. There is only one reality. Ekam nityam, everlasting. Ekam nityaṁ vimalam achalam, pure, spotless. And achalam, not movable. The sky does not move, and so that guru principle does not move. Ekam nityaṁ vimalāchalaṁ sarvadhi sākṣībhūtam, the knower of everything. Bhāvātītaṁ tri-guṇa-rahītam, above all conflicts, dualities, differences, changes; above the three guṇas. Therefore, "Sat-Gurūtāṁ Namāmyaham," and so we adore and bow down again and again to our Sadguru Dev, our Siddha Pīṭha Paramparā from Śrī Alak Purījī, from the Himalaya, from Sadāśiva's time till now. We continue, and we pray to Gurudev to protect us from doing bad things or making mistakes, so that we can take care of this holy chair, the holy Siddha Pīṭha of Alakpurījī. For this, I wish you all the best and the blessings of Gurudev, and that Gurudev helps you to come forward in your spirituality. As Jayaprakāś said, we do not have to come again and again. Perhaps we finish all in this life, no? And then we will ever be in that divine consciousness. Even Kṛṣṇa or Rāma or any incarnation—the Holy Land India has given so many incarnations and holy saints to the world that we cannot count them. So where is the holy? Everything is holy. We are in this ashram. It means we are this ashram. We are within this ashram. And so everything is there. From which look you are seeing, from which point of view you are looking, how you respect and accept—this is this. Mahāprabhujī said, "The spoon which remains all the time in pudding or in honey cannot taste the sweetness of the honey." So people who have a lot of negative karma, overloaded with dust, cannot understand or see the divinity and holiness of that holy land, India, Bhārata, Āryāvarta—it had so many different names in Vedic times. I wish you all the best, and thank you for your good wishes for my birthday. Now, I wish you a very good appetite. Those who have already made praṇām should go for dinner, and those who have not can come. Please do not come twice or three times; it takes a long time. All the best, dear brothers and sisters around the world. I bless you for this divine day. It is the incarnation day of God Krishna. Krishna means the cosmic consciousness. Rama means the cosmic consciousness, and they are still here. They are with us, just as Mahāprabhujī is with us. Mahāprabhujī is also an incarnation of the cosmic consciousness. So I bless you in their name, and in the name of all other holy saints or gods incarnated in different parts of the world. I pray to them to bless us and give us good thoughts, sad buddhi, good thoughts, so that we do good things. And if we cannot do good things, at least we should not destroy good things through our behavior, our gossiping, words, chatting, and so on. Always, we should pray to God to give us good intellect and good thoughts. Keep your intellect under control; that is all. No infection, no bugs should enter. If your intellect is good, protected, taken care of, and guarded by you, then be sure that your spiritual development is rapid—sudden, even. Doubt and jealousy make you fall down again. You climb a thousand meters, and a little doubt makes you fall down. Again you have to try, slowly, slowly, to climb. How many times have we fallen down? Only we know. So take care of this part of your body between the two ears. You know, when this is in order, then here [the heart] will be very, very good. He [the Self] is always in order, but here [the mind] is not. That is what Patañjali is constantly talking about: vṛttis, thoughts, indriyas, and so on. Tomorrow we will continue on Patañjali. Today we had this festival in India, our Indian National Day, Independence Day of India. And also, according to the Catholics, it is a very holy day, as Mother Mary went into heaven again. Yes, when she goes, then someone has to come back. That is it. So perhaps she told me, "Boy, you go." Anyhow, I have to follow the mother. What mother says, children must follow. When mother says and children do not follow, then... but sometimes, you know, mothers are too pushy. So, deep night. All the best, and God bless you.
