Salutation to the Cosmic Light, the Lord of our heart, the omniscient and omnipresent creator of all creatures, the source of our life, and the governor of the entire universe. In His holy presence, I welcome all my dear brothers and sisters this evening. I am happy to see you, and this gathering is the divine blessing and mercy of God. In this dangerous time of Kali Yuga, it is not easy for humans to attend positive and spiritual programs. In the Rāmāyaṇa, Tulsī Dāsa said, "Tulsī, pūrva ke pāpa se harī charṣā nahī." The great saint Tulsīdāsa said that those who have many sins from past lives do not like to hear or listen to the names of God or discussions about God. It is like a person with a high fever who loses their appetite. You are the most fortunate ones, and God has been very gracious to you, dear brothers and sisters, that you could decide to come to this program. Everything in this world is possible easily, but it is rare to come to satsaṅg or spiritual activities. Spiritual activities are those where we speak of tolerance, love, understanding, harmony, and peace. We are all incarnated in this world as humans, and God has given us the prime duty to protect His creatures, to give understanding and love towards every being, and at the same time, to master our life and attain salvation—liberation from rebirth and death. Our being here in this world is like a light in the darkness. I am sure God expects something positive from us. If there is a God, and if He has sent us into this world and given us human life, then what is His will? It is that we shall live together with mutual understanding and love. There is God, and only one God. That one God exists in every creature. In you exists only one God, known as life. The light of your life is the light of God. Therefore, the great Śaṅkarācārya said, "Know thyself." If you know yourself, you will know everything. If you do not know yourself, you know nothing. As one great philosopher said at the end of all his writings, "I know that I don't know." That is intellect. Intellectual knowledge is not the knowledge that will solve our purpose. When you know yourself, then you can say that you know what God is. During this one-week tour through your beautiful country, Croatia, I had many beautiful experiences. The people in your country have loving hearts, and they received the wisdom and words of God with such love and devotion. Think over this law in your life: What did you bring with you, and what will you take with you? When you came into this world, what did you bring? When you will go from this world, do you know what you will take? Even this body will not go with you. Everything will remain here. All relations will remain here. Sabhi chhod kar chala musha, fir baasa hua banaka. Jagat mein jeevan do dindaka. This traveler, we are tourists. It is said this tourist has left everything here and again disappeared into the forest—the forest of the mystery of the universe, which is very hard to understand and very hard to overcome. Khāna, Pīna, Bhogaṇa, Paśubhī, Param, Sujan. Eating, drinking, sleeping, and procreating—animals are also very expert in these. If we are only doing this much and concentrating only on these things, then what is the difference between animals and humans? Very little difference. Therefore, it is said this life is the most valuable diamond given to you by God. This diamond is so precious you cannot pay money for it. You cannot buy a body anywhere, and you cannot borrow your body to someone. If it were possible, then at an old age or when one is very ill, one could leave the body, buy another, jump into it, and begin to enjoy again. There are some things in the world which are very rare, and that is your human birth—only one chance in this life. Do not waste your time in gasping. Do not waste your time in doubt. Do not waste your time in laziness. And do not waste your time just in desires for mother, father, children, and partner. You can have children and a partner in every life, but spirituality and a spiritual master you can have only in human life. Therefore, it is never too late to begin the spiritual life. What do we understand about spirituality? What is spirituality? Spirituality is purity, clarity. Pure consciousness, pure mind, pure thoughts, pure behaviors—that is very important. Tolerance, understanding, forgiveness, love, kindness—these belong to spirituality. Develop those tendencies in you. Do not talk about others and what they are doing badly. Just talk about yourself. What bad things are you doing? Do not search for the mistakes of others, but search for your own mistakes. I went to search in this world for bad things and bad people. I did not find anyone bad, and when I searched my heart, I found that no one is worse than myself. Whatever you say is bad or good, first you have to project it in your consciousness. First you have to identify it in your heart and say, "This is bad." Psychologically, you are putting a blackmail on your own consciousness by thinking it is bad. At the same time, bad is bad. We cannot say it is good, but those bad things should not influence your consciousness. You should be strong. Your foundation should be strong. Your fundamental principles should be strong. Do not act immediately. Take time. Once the scientist Einstein wrote a letter to someone in answer to their letter. He wrote about ten pages back as an answer, signed the letter, and then wrote a P.S.: "I am sorry to write you a long letter, because I didn't have the time." So take time to understand, take time to accept, take time to decide. Do not act immediately. If you take some book in your hand, then you should know why you are buying this book and what you will do with it. That book should not be a storm that will take your boat in another direction again. If you are not able to digest it, if you are not able to master those words which you will read in those books, then better not to buy and not to read. We get every book to gain inspiration and understanding so we can proceed on our spiritual path. Whatever happens in life has its reason. Accept it. Accept it with thankfulness to the Lord God. I have surrendered my life to you, because only with you can I be happy. Even if I have to walk through stones and a thorny path, even if I have to go through fire, and even if death becomes a garland around my neck—a flower mala, but a mala of death—still, my Lord, I will not go away from you. As in the song, "Door of My Heart": wide I open for thee. Will thou come, will thou come? Just once come to me. Night and day, night and day, I look for thee. So we do not know in which minute, which hour, which day we will meet some spiritual light. Do not close your door, my Lord. I will be thine. I may go far, farther than the stars, but still I will be thine. When I die, look into my eyes, my Lord. Mutely, they will say, "I will be thine." That is the eternal relation with God. What have you done in your life? If you think of the past, what all happened to you? Was it necessary? And why did it happen? Definitely, there was some of our mistake, our karma, but still God protected you and you are here. Anyone can disappoint us; sometimes one is disappointed by parents, by children, sometimes by a partner, but God never will. Do not disappoint us, dear friends. Keep that relation with God continuously. He is the source of our life, and His divine power is within us. That is the message of the yogīs. Yoga is not only physical postures. Yoga is not a fanatical way. Yoga is an eternal, cosmic principle. There are two principles: the Cosmic Father and the Cosmic Mother. That energy which is governing, balancing, and protecting the entire universe is Yogamāyā, Yogaśakti. That is Yoga. The aim of my coming is this: I want to awaken this consciousness in you. Believe what you want to believe—any god, incarnation, or you do not believe; any religion, or you belong to any culture—that is not important. What is important is that you awaken inwardly. We are sleeping; we have to awake. That can only be done by yourself. You can be a great holy saint. Develop qualities, the human qualities. Through quality, one is holy. Through quality, one is God. Through quality, one is human. Through quality, one is a thief. And through that quality, one is the devil. These are the inner qualities. Those who have no pure consciousness and pure heart become so quickly angry. They become so quickly jealous. They have so many doubts. And always, they keep their eyes open to see the mistakes of others. When someone is criticizing somebody, they say, "What did you say?" The other one will say, "What are they talking about?" If you are fighting in the street with someone, shouting, saying bad words, everyone opens the window and looks to see what is going on. If you talk about God, love, peace, they will close the windows and say, "These are the crazy people." You see how the qualities are immediately deciding. Therefore, it is said, it does not matter what people talk or what people think; I have to do one thing to liberate myself. I did not come into this world for gossiping. I came into this world for helping. So still you have this in your hand, dear friends. Do something. Begin right now. Say to yourself, "From today onwards, I will develop divine qualities in me." And you need help. If you need help, I am here. You can count on my help. But if you do not want to help yourself, then I cannot either. There is one person; he does not want to get up, and he still says, "Please help me to get up." You can lift him, but still he is sitting in lotus; he cannot stand up. I can help you to lift up, but you must stretch your legs and stand on your own. Fate does not depend on others. To depend on someone is the most terrible thing. But I are Dean sup naysuka nahi? Those who are depending on others are not happy even in their dreams. Dependency is a different kind of... The difference, the depending, is different. They are different, differently. Some are emotionally dependent. You are in the prison of emotion. I once met a man. He had a consultation, and he is a very faithful disciple. He always comes. He said, "Swamiji, my wife beats me every day. She shouts every day, and sometimes I have to stand on my knees while she is cooking the whole time." Do you also with your husband like this? Please do not do so. I told him, "Why are you doing this?" He said, "I love her. Sometimes she kicks me with her shoes, but I am so depending on her at the same time." Some other lady told me that her boyfriend, with whom she has been living for thirty years, beats her. He does so many bad things, but she cannot go away from him. I said, "Why?" She said, "Because I need so much money for my cosmetics. I have no money." I depend completely financially on him, and in summer he goes on holidays alone because he said, "I am a man, I can go alone." But if I want to go on holidays, he said I must go with him. So, I do not want to tell the joke; it is the reality that persons are depending emotionally, financially, socially, politically, intellectually. Then what is human life? Where is human freedom? Of course, where there is love, we are ready to do everything. But when there is love, then the other one does not behave in this way with you. Love does not demand anything. Love does not give conditions. Otherwise, that is not love. And why does this happen to us? Because we are depending. Likewise, we are depending on our karma, too. We are depending on our desires. So love is different, and depending is different. Love your wife so much that she will be completely drunken in love. Love your husband so much that he is completely lost in that, but without conditions, with understanding, tolerance, feeling oneness. That is what we call liberation. Liberate yourself first from these things, then talk about your karma, and then talk about God. So ask yourself, how much do you depend? Where you are suffering, where there is love, there is no suffering. To analyze this situation in life, in yoga, there is a very beautiful science called the science of Kuṇḍalinī, the science of chakras, called the mystery of your phenomenon. Just look into your phenomena, you will be surprised what beauty exists in you. What divine divinity exists in you, and which kind of talents exist in you? Chakras are the jewels in your body. If you discover them, you will no longer be poor, dependent, and suffering from karma. So, for the last five days, through the Kriyāśakti, I had beautiful talks about chakras. But I see many friends, brothers and sisters who are sitting here came for the first time; they were not in those lectures. So I would like to repeat again a little bit about cakras. I think for those who are listening a second time, it will also be an inspiration again and a widening of their knowledge. Every atom in this universe is a sparkle of God's light, God's consciousness. That consciousness which departed or separated from God? Why is this question asked many times? Why are we separated from God? Why did He send us away? Why are we born individually? These things bother us, but a self-realized person said, "You are not separated from God. He did not send you away. He is in you." He said, "Eko'ham, I am one. One I am. One. Now I will multiply myself." So He multiplies into His billions and billions of creatures. It is said it is He who exhales. When He is exhaling, He is manifesting all this: different planets and lives on the planets. You did not hear? It is said it is He, God, who exhales. With this exhalation, He created all the planets and stars and moons, and He created all the creatures. And He is the sustenance. He keeps everyone, He protects everyone. It is that God, or the Cosmic Mother, which nourishes us. It is that God who gives food to all. No one goes hungry sleeping. Even a small ant finds her food. All creatures, they find their food sometimes—sorry, sometimes humans are suffering. Some humans go sometimes hungry, sleeping. Why? Their own mistakes, mistakes of the humans, that we humans put those conditions for the humans, and God is not happy about this. God is not happy about this. Therefore, the yogī says, "Ṛṣis, all should be happy." How? If you wish, if you give them freedom, if you do not take away from them. So God has exhaled. He multiplied Himself. He multiplies Himself. You understand? He multiplies Himself. It means it is Himself. There is no two. There is no you. There is no me. It is only He. This is realization. The highest realization is known as samādhi: Nirvikalpa Samādhi, the Turīya state, where there is knowledge, knower, and object. All three become one. I want to know what God is. I am the knower. I want to know. Is the knowledge the God object? So God, my knowledge, and myself become one. There is no more duality. Eko Brahma Vidyānasti. Where there is oneness, that is supreme. And where there are two, there is duality. And where there is duality, there are distractions. From the Cosmic Consciousness, the sound like OM that we were singing, the sound, the vibration, the resonance,... spread into the whole universe from dormant consciousness or from sleeping consciousness. That resonance is like a sun ray, and wherever they touch, they come to the object. Or they stayed for a while, and the quality developed. Like someone is wandering from one culture to another culture... the culture is changing, the quality is changing. God is looking after everyone. He is everywhere. He has no hands and legs, but still He is quicker in helping and coming. So do not say to thee, "O my Lord," but say to me, "O my Lord." Not that I want to come to my God, but, "God, come to me. Will thou come? Will thou come just for once, come to me? Will my days fly away without seeing the mind? Will my days fly without seeing the night and day? Night and day, I look for the night and day. Night and day, night and day, I look for the night open wide. I keep on the dog. Lord, just once come. My door of my heart is so wide open. Just once come in quickly, I will close the door." And that happened: that God is in you, my dear. So not to thee, my Lord, but to me, my Lord. God is quicker than anything. He has no eyes, but He sees everything. He has no these senses, but He can perceive, receive everything. Nirakār niranjanam. Nirakār means the formless, niranjan without any spot, spotless. Nirakār niranjanam, that is God.
