Don't Be a Lonely Drop
The glory of satsaṅg is the power of spiritual unity, not individualism. A solitary drop cannot flow; many drops must unite to form a stream, then a river, and finally reach the ocean. Satsaṅg is this gathering where spiritual power is built, elevating one's being. Good companionship cultivates only good thoughts and qualities. In contrast, bad company acts like a sour agent, spoiling the milk of one's spirit and causing separation. Therefore, one must pray for true satsaṅg and avoid harmful associations. The story of Satī illustrates the pain of separation born from doubt and self-inflicted error. She carried a burning sorrow within, recognizing her mistake in doubting Śiva. After a long period of meditation, Śiva emerged and offered a gentle presence, beginning to share wisdom. This teaches that suffering arises from our own conditioned thinking, and peace is found through forgiveness, understanding, and turning inward.
"Whoever is individualistic will have a problem. That drop will take time to come."
"O Lord, mercifully please see that I am faithful, the true one, and help me."
