River of love and consciousness
Human life is given to know God and love all creatures. The purpose is to find the divine presence and remove obstacles on the path. Success requires two things: a firm decision and love for your practice. Your practice is your God until you realize God. Discipline is the key; without it, everything is lost. The highest initiation is sannyāsa, requiring complete detachment from family, seeing the whole world as your family. The path of love is not theater; it demands total surrender. You must iron out ego, jealousy, greed, and the tendency to take offense. Attachment destroys. A story illustrates this: a prince strikes a saint cleaning a path, who later explains the prince was testing if he was "broken" or "complete." You must offer the other cheek. Your inner willpower, through prayer and discipline, achieves realization. Look within. If free from desire, anger, pride, greed, delusion, and ego, you are self-realized. Your strength is in your sādhanā; love it as God. Work for unity; the divine organizes everything.
"Your sādhanā is your God. That sādhanā will lead you to God, nothing else."
"If you are free from these qualities, you are already self-realized."
