I receive messages and news from around the world about yoga: how many kinds of yoga there are, how people are becoming successful, and why can't we do it? First, I ask myself: are we not successful? We are very successful, and the result of that is you are all here. Temporary activities are like water bubbles. These are commercial, but our system is scientific, and it has its quality. Someone told me four days ago that in science and in quality, there should be no compromises. So it is also in yoga and spirituality: there is no compromise. Yoga is a science of body, mind, consciousness, and soul. Physical exercises are not what we are searching for. The message I receive is very much on a lower level. People think to perform or demonstrate those yoga postures which other people cannot do. They try to demonstrate the exercises that other people cannot perform. That's greediness. In yoga, there are no challenges and no competition. The science of yoga and daily life is that scientific system, and it is a system. The system which has a philosophy, a system which has a background, a solid foundation, and a future. Yoga, and how does yoga come to the humans? It was not these physical postures, but it is the self-discipline and only one aim: to become one with the universal. But in our cases, we are not able to become one with these friends. We have so much ego, selfishness, greedy days, so many doubts. We are not able to accept others as they are. So how are you going to accept God as He is? Maybe God is different than you think. When you will meet Him, I'm looking forward: how will you act? "No, this I didn't want." Who knows? It's better to be alive in this mortal world. To meet God, to understand God, and to survive with God is not an easy job. To meet God, understand God, and survive with God is not an easy task. And what will He do with us? Where will He send us? If you like it or not, think it over. Do you want to see God? Are you ready? We do not have a clear picture about God. Like in one bhajan, it is said: "The real happiness is under your shelter, Gurudev." And you know, this bhajan is complete. And at the end, it is said: "What will I do with that face of God, which I never saw in life? So better that I stay with Gurudeva, because he—what you are searching, Brahman—will be realized through him." So our aim is to become one with that cosmic Self, which is one without a second, not bound to time and space. One without second, beyond time and space, in each and every atom, omniscient and omnipresent, and that is what yoga and daily life is giving us. So, no competitions. We are not physical trainers. We are not physical instructors in a sports club or in some training center, bodybuilding centers, but we are in the yoga. It's very gentle, very fine, very divine, and it has its quality. Our duty is just to work as it is, just to do it the way it is. Then the system will survive. Otherwise, many systems came and many went away. Therefore, yoga in everyday life is a divine path, the way to God, because there is Guru Kṛpā. Many holy books write about this. But in the testament, it is also said: "I am the way to God. I am the way to the Father." Now, you research these words. Who said to whom? The master said to his apostles or his disciples. Which master? Jesus. So it was a Guru Vakya. The master said to the disciple, "I am the way to God." He didn't say any other masters, no one else, only and only me. He didn't say, "There was no one before me, and no one will be after me." If it is like this, he will say, "There will be no one after me." The entire universal system will collapse. So many systems have failed in this world. But Sanātana Dharma, the eternal religion, didn't fail. Because it is universal, it's not personified, and so the teachings of Yoga in Daily Life are the essence of all different guruvākyas from the whole world. Many people do not understand the Guru. And always, when they write something wrong about the Guru, then I have to laugh, or I'm sorry for these people. That is how poor these people are, how uneducated these people are. They are writing like an unalphabetic person. Without knowing something, if you write, it's completely wrong. Because guru means simply a teacher. Your school teacher is your guru, your driving teacher is your guru, who teaches you biking, cycling is your guru, who teaches you swimming is a swimming guru, so in Sanskrit. Or, Hindi guru means in Sanskrit and Hindi is guru, and your language is teacher. And if you speak more educated, if you have better thinking, then you come to the world not a teacher, but... So it means you discriminate the entire system which humans have created in human society, what we call civilization. But what to do? Blind leading the blind world. And therefore, whenever you hear this word, if you read it in a magazine or newspaper, simply write them a letter. Please, can you explain this word? What does it mean, "you wrote the guru"? What does that mean? So, teacher means one who has knowledge. Let's say there is one man who never saw a car, and now he sees the car, and he tells you, "I will teach you how to drive." So nowadays, this all yoga, different kind of yoga, in every corner of the street, in every hotel, and every well-being or something, wellness and sport clubs and old... homes and all this commercial five-star hotel and seven-star hotel, and in the swimming pool and outside the swimming pool, in the sauna and outside the sauna, who is teaching in the name of yoga? These things, they are the persons who never saw a car. So today, this is all kinds of yoga, all kinds of wellness centers, sports centers, business centers, saunas, swimming pools, outside, inside. Those people who teach yoga in these places, those who only see the car. He speaks slowly. So yoga is something great and divine. It is said that when a perfect yogī comes, even God, Viṣṇu, gets up and greets him. And God, Viṣṇu, he washes the feet of the yogī. If you have read or seen the Mahābhārata or Śrīmad Bhāgavata, how Kṛṣṇa is washing the feet of the ṛṣis. So don't throw this beautiful name and science of yoga in the dust. But from those yogīs, how far we are. How much distance is between those perfect yogīs and us? As far as the end of the universe. So be in a hurry and try to recover the distances. So don't think tomorrow that Viṣṇu will come and wash my feet. Boys and girls, it's okay, but so easy is not. Don't rely on them. Better you should wash your feet. Therefore, it's better to be a disciple than a master. Better to be a bhakta than Bhagavān. So the Yoga in Daily Life system is holistic. It has a solid foundation, it is very ancient, and it has its principles, its philosophy. But to be healthy a little bit physically, we should teach this systematic, scientific exercise, which is given. You are not only teaching, you should devote yourself to the system, like when we give prayer, after prayer, prasāda. Mahāprabhujī has blessed it, and you are the fortunate one that through your hands He lets the prasāda be given to others. And when they receive prasāda with folded hands, don't be mistaken that I'm so far developed that people are saying, "Please, Prashad." But you are a fortunate one, that you can serve. God has chosen you to give. So whatever you teach, be thankful to God, that God is so merciful and He wants to help others through you. Now, one thing is clear: even if we have seen God or not, but He acts through me. That's clear. It means I don't see Him, but He sees me. That's more than enough. That's it. So, through this, His blessing, through His mercy, He's already one with us, so He's with you. And now you are searching somewhere else. He doesn't understand. What are you searching? I am with you. Even I am with you, but you are searching for someone, so I am jealous. Then, okay, search for someone. I will go. And that's happening to many of you in normal life. Your wife is with you, but you are searching for someone else. So she said, "Okay, then search, please. I go," and when she will go away, then you will realize, "Oh my God, she was with me." So he or she, it's the same. So God is with us. When we do something good in the world, then God is acting through us. And when we do bad in this world, and when we do something bad in the world, talking bad about others, criticizing negatively, discrimination, jealousy, hate, anger, then it's that devil acting through you. What you call the Satan, so Satan is acting through you. That's why you are talking bad about others and thinking bad about others, and you are angry. And when God acts through you, then you love them, you understand them, you feel one with them, because God loves them, God understands them, God gives to them, and God is with them. So now we know: when is God acting through us, or is the devil existing through us? So, if you will be aware or conscious about your being, that in your consciousness is nothing existing but only God, then you will never act negatively, because where there is light, darkness will not come. If you are in the consciousness of your being, then you are conscious that in your consciousness there is only God, and you will never do anything negative, because you know that where there is light, there is no darkness. When you achieve that in your being, there is consciousness only about the presence of God; then you simply cannot do anything bad, because where there is light, there cannot be a story. But as soon as in our consciousness jealous hate, complexes, greediness, anger, and doubts disappear, then there is darkness, and now the devils are active, the asuras in the night; they are active. So, to repeat your mantra, prayers, remember God means enlightened consciousness. Enlightened consciousness means not like this light. Many people say, "I always meditate, but I see no light." I can understand that you don't see the light. Because you closed your eyes. If you want to see the light, open your eyes. That's all. So the light which we speak of in spirituality, in philosophy, is the wisdom, the knowledge. And that knowledge is knowledge of self or God. And this knowledge, this knowledge about ourselves or about God.
