Jala Neti, Kapala Bhati, Bhastrika
Haṭha Yoga Kriyās purify the body to achieve health and balance the three nāḍīs. These six actions, or ṣaṭ karma, are independent practices done for a positive result. The first kriyā is neti, a nasal cleansing. Use lukewarm salt water to clean the nostrils, which filters air and removes dust. Salt prevents irritation and aids cleaning. After neti, perform kapālbhāti to expel residual water and prevent sinus issues; inhale through the mouth and exhale forcefully through the nose using abdominal pressure. Do not confuse it with bāstrīkā, which also uses abdominal breath but for lung capacity. Neti is best done in the morning or several hours before sleep, and can be done in the evening to clear pollution. Practice regularly.
"Haṭha Yoga kriyās are meant for the purification of the body."
"After practicing neti, you must do the kapālbhāti."
