Yoga is the harmony of unity
Yoga is the balancing principle of the universe, the union of space and cosmic consciousness. The endless universe and its thousands of solar systems exist in perfect harmony through this yoga. This same balancing principle exists within the human body, harmonizing the five elements to create a physical being. What exists in the universe exists within this body, balancing our organs, circulation, body, mind, emotion, and intellect. Yoga itself is thyself. Losing this inner harmony creates physical disorder and negative emotions like anger. Therefore, great saints designed therapeutic exercises called yoga to restore balance to the physical, astral, and spiritual being. Human life, endowed with intellect, is meant to break the cycle of rebirth and death by surrendering individual qualities to develop cosmic qualities. This is a practical path. The principles are to believe in God, follow a master's instructions, pray, meditate, repeat mantras, fast, and lead a simple, natural life. Yoga is not a religion but a universal principle of service, protection, and respect for all life to achieve health, peace, and God realization.
"Where there is balance, there is harmony. And where there is harmony, there is unity. Therefore, literally, yoga means union or unity."
"Tatha Brahmāṇḍe, Tatha Piṇḍe: what is in the universe existing, is existing in this body."
