I am very happy to see all of you here again this morning and greet all the dear friends around the world who are with us through the webcast. We are continuing with the topic of Kundalini Yoga, Chakras, and the Awakening of Divine Consciousness within the Human Body. After this long series of lectures, we now come to Nāḍī Yoga, which is very important for purifying the chakras and awakening the Kuṇḍalinī. Yesterday we spoke about the quality of the Anāhata Chakra, the heart. We compared it to the bhajan, "Deep Niranjan Shabduk Bhanjan." Whenever there is a problem, pain, or critical situations, our heart suffers very much. And whenever there is a beautiful situation where everything is very good and pleasant, our heart is very relaxed and is not suffering. The situations we face in our life are caused by our karma, our destiny. Every individual has a different destiny, and destiny is the fruit or result of our deeds, our karma. Every situation that appears in our life has some sense in it. Why do we face destiny? We face destiny in order to get rid of that destiny. Negative karma comes back, and it reminds us: do not run away, face this and be free from it. Good things can also come; it must not be only bad. It means, do not be overwhelmed and do not forget God. It is said in one nice poem: "When there is a problem, everyone remembers God." There is physical pain, emotional pain, mental pain, social pain, family problems, and many things. Then we say, "Oh God, please, God help. God, help." Kṛṣṇa, Kṛṣṇa, Praśim, Kṛṣṇa, Moi Boje, Moi Boje, Mahāprabhujī, Praśim, Moi Mahāprabhujī Ho. Please, Mahāprabhujī, tell Swāmījī, tell me. Yes. Many say, "Please tell Mahāprabhujī that Swāmījī should not be so strict always." When trouble is there, when there is a problem, then everyone remembers God—Rama, Rama, Krishna, Krishna, Jesus, Jesus, Allah, Allah, Muhammad, yes. When there is a happy time, no pain, no problem, no one remembers God. Just go and drink and dance; no one says Krishna. If you remember God also when you are happy, then why will problems come? No problem will come. So, that heart, the Anāhata Cakra, the Hṛdaya Kamala—feel your heart. Ask your heart, "How are you?" The heart is one of our best servants. The heart never relaxes; all the time it is working for us. Don't tell your heart, "Please rest." Okay? And when the heart will rest for some seconds, Hari Om. It's Everest. So, take care of the heart. This heart is beating not only for your physical body. There is a divine light in your heart. It is said: in the heart, within, very fine, small, like a cave. And in that cave, there is a blue light, and that blue light is the light of your Ātmā. And in that blue light of the Ātmā, your individual soul is covered and living there. Anything happens, immediately the signal goes there. We feel in the heart quicker than we notice in our intellect. Therefore, be nice to your heart. Every morning, say to your heart, "My sweetheart, I know you are sweet. I will not eat you." My heart, how are you? Can I do some prāṇāyāma so that you feel better? Your heart will say, "What did you say? Prāṇāyāma, yes, yes." But I will drink my coffee first. The heart will say, "What did you say? You make me nervous." When you drink coffee, the heart is nervous. Anything we do, our heart feels. And how our heart feels is a signal of the direction in which your development is going—in spiritual development, or distraction, up or down. And therefore, the heart. In every creature, those who have a heart, they have a circulation, they have a light, they have a light of God. That is the manifestation of God. This is the saguṇa form of God, saguṇa or nirguṇa. And so, every entity on this planet represents God’s light, and you too. We have intellect; we have our viveka, buddhi and viveka, so that we can feel better and we can help our soul to be free and dissolve in the ātma-jñāna, in the brahma-tattva. Otherwise, there will be again the cycle of birth and death, birth and death, coming and going, Caurāsī Kā Cakra. It is not certain that we will be born again as a human. It is the chance that we are human. Eating, sleeping, creating children—animals are also very active in these. An expert, oh human, if you do only this much, then where is the difference? So, when you have negative energy, when your future is going into darkness, then what happens? The body gives a signal. What kind of signal? Desires. It is said in the Rāmāyaṇa: "Jisko Prabhu Daruṇ Dukh Dehi, Uski Buddhi Pele Hi Har Nehi." Now, when God, according to destiny, is going to punish, that's all, He will already take the buddhi away—the intellect, the positive intellect—which will be dimmed, and negative intellect comes. Jisko Prabhu Dharun Dukdehi, Uski Buddhi Pele Hi Harlehi. So before that already, the positive thoughts go away, and he begins to do the negative desires. Therefore, Viparīta Buddhi—immediately our intellect is opposite, opposite to the positive. And then you begin to feel fear, anxiety. You feel that you lost something; you are losing something. So the desire of greediness, desire of having something, desire of eating, desire to have a partner, desire to get rid of the partner, you know. How many people go home and pray? "Thank you, God. Finally, thanks to my lawyer, the divorce was successful. Mahāprabhujī, please protect me in the future." Yes, this is also a desire. So, who is happy? Who has no desires? And who is the rich? Who has no longing to have more money or anything. The happiest and richest person is one who has no desires, neither physically nor materially. That is just living, leading life, but God gives, we have. Therefore, it is said—also in the Bible it is said—"Thou shalt not carry, do not carry with you, except your passport." So, no more problem crossing the border. Nothing to declare, only a passport. Only one langoṭā. No, little langoṭī, what sādhus have. Nothing to declare. No, you can go straight; you need not go through the metal detector. But we have two suitcases, one rucksack, one bag, and a second camera. God said, "Believe in your destiny, and I will give you everywhere what you need. Those will not carry a burden with you." And the same thing, Holy Gurujī said to Mahāprabhujī, when Mahāprabhujī asked, "Should I give you some money or something you need?" Holy Guru said, "Yes, but give me then there where I need something. God will give us everywhere." So, the Anāhata Chakra, the heart—our spiritual development and all our practices depend on the certainty of your heart. Of course, also your intellect should agree with it, and when the intellect decides, your heart should agree also. Every part of the body, every organ of the body is very important. God has given nothing in this body which is not important. It is a miraculous body. Such a beautiful body, such a beautiful construction, such a beautiful architecture. Till now, there has never been any architect born who can design this body. It doesn’t matter, whether vegetation, any creatures, or a human. It is only the one creator, and that is the perfect work of that one creator. Yeh Bangla Ajab Bana Maharaj, Jishme Narayan Bole, Jishme Narayan Bole, Par Guru Bin Bhed Kaun Khole, Yeh Bangla Ajab Bana Maharaj, Jishme Narayan Bole. This body is compared to a bungalow. You know, when you go to the Adriatic coast, in which bungalow are you? Yes, bungalow number 1, bungalow number 2, 3, 108, 5, 6, no? And when you go to the Czech Republic and Slovak Republic, then you are going in the Khāṭā. They don’t say bungalow, they say Khaṭā. And when you go to the German-speaking language, then they say Hüte, no? Berg Hüte, this is Hüte, no? And so, yeh bangla ajab bana Mahārāj—this bungalow of this body is a wondrous, ajab means wondrous, wonderful. Always Holy Gurujī said, wonderful. In which Nārāyaṇa speaks, that is another miracle. When you go to someone’s bungalow and knock on the door, and inside, the owner of the bungalow will speak, or anyone will say, "Hello, I am inside, please come in." So in this bungalow, God is speaking. It is said: "Sab ghat mera saaya, or koi ghat khali naay. Balihari Ush Ghat Ki Jo Pragat Bole Aay." In every heart, in every heart is God. My God, Sab Ghat Mera Saiya. Look, in every heart is my God; my Lord is living. Sab Ghat Mera Saiya, Koi Ghat Khali Naay. No heart is empty without the presence of my God. Which is our God? The Universal God. One God. There is no second God. Just one God. So no heart is empty. And when the heart is empty, then it is a dead body. Shab ghat mera shayan, koi ghat khali naay, balihari ush ghat ki. My adoration to that heart. Pragat bole aay, in which the God appears and speaks the wisdom, the love. That’s it. Yes, in everyone is a God, in every heart is a God, but He speaks from that heart which is a pure heart. And you can feel immediately: one is talking selfishly, or one is talking free with love, with wisdom. So, Baṅgālā Ajab Banhā Mahārāj, jisme Nārāyaṇ bole—this bungalow is so beautiful, wondrous bungalow in which Nārāyaṇ, God himself is speaking. Jīśme Nārāyaṇ Bole, in which Nārāyaṇ, God, is speaking. Par Guru Bina Bheda Kaun Khole, but who can tell the secret of this bungalow without Gurudev? It is Gurudev who can teach us the secret of this. And what is the secret of this? It is that inside is the Ātmā. Inside is that Jīvātmā. Ātmā and Jīvātmā both are present in this body. Māyā and Brahman, Brahmā. Māyā and Brahmā both are here in this body. The Jīvātmā is more attached to, attracted towards, the Māyā, and the Ātmā is that to the Brahman. So Ātmā Jñāna, not Jīvātmā Jñāna. Don’t write in your translation; Swāmījī said, "Jīvātmā Jñāna." That would be wrong. Ātmā Jñāna. So, here in this heart, here in this Anāhata Chakra, when the Kuṇḍalinī begins to awake, then you feel in the body a very pleasant sensation, not zzzz, not like this, pleasant. But if there is some negative energy blocking your awakening of Kuṇḍalinī, then you feel like your body is slipping, or you begin to sweat—sweating on the forehead, sweating under the chin, sweating on the head, sweating on the armpit, on different parts of the body. Or suddenly your body gets red, your face gets red, or someone has red only here, someone has red on this side, someone has red hands. It is anxiety, nervousness, blockage. So when the Kuṇḍalinī begins to awake, the Kuṇḍalinī awakes the happiness, light, sound, energy, contentment, happiness. That is the awakening of the Kuṇḍalinī. But again, we come to the heart. It is that nāda, the sound, resonance, which carries the information to your brain centers. Now, it is said: if you are injured by a knife, someone attacked you with a knife, that wound will, after some time, heal. But if someone injures you with harsh words, that will cause a wound in the heart, and that will not heal for a lifetime. So the most painful, most dangerous weapon which humans have is their words. Through the words, you can destroy, or the most beautiful remedy which humans have is their words. Kind words, happy words, understanding words, forgiving words, many beautiful, good words. That will heal our heart wounds. Ask your heart, "How many wounds are there?" Everyone you know, how many wounds are there? So, when the wounds are there, then infection is there. Which kind of infection? Revenge, jealousy, anger, hate, cruelty. This kind of infection is there. And sometimes that infection is so strong that you say, "I don’t care. For me, it doesn’t matter. Even if I die, I will kill. I will do this." These are the infections. From where? A wounded heart. But the wounded heart. And for a wounded heart, there is only one remedy: love, with your mantra. Jñānas Śrī Dīp Nārāyaṇ Bhagavān Kī. So, when this resonance brings the kuṇḍalinī śakti, energy, sound, and light. When these three enter into the body and they touch the maṇipūra cakra, then the sound develops. The Shakti is in Mūlādhāra; the sound goes down to take it up, coming to Maṇipūra, the light, and then enters into the heart. When the heart chakra is touched by this beautiful energy, then your heart begins to overflow. Overflow, that’s called devotion, that’s called happiness. Sometimes, when you are very happy and laughing and laughing, your tears come. Or when you are very happy, devotion, tears come. So, the heart is whipping both times, either when you are very unhappy or when you are very happy. But when you are very happy, your heart is overflowing. It’s not crying; it’s overflowing. But when you are unhappy, then your heart is crying. So, joy—I used to say that joy is in the divine, nothing else. Ānandoham, Ānandoham, Ānandam, Brahmanandam. I am blissful, I am blissful,... I am supreme blissful. Ānandoham, Ānandoham, Ānandam, Brahmanandam. Otherwise, when your heart feelings go towards the material love, then, as I used to say, the joy of that joy which you want to enjoy is less joy than the suffering of that joy. That’s it. So, Anāhada, Anāhada, Anāhada Nāda, endless, without border, that divine sound, resonance, awakes. And that’s why the name is also called Anāhada Chakra. Anahad, there is no border. Ātmā has no border. God has no border. Love has no border. Wisdom has no border. Wisdom, love, you cannot measure with kilograms or with centimeters. It is beyond, and so the center point is within you. Everything is radiating from you. At that time, the first experiences of samādhi come. That’s called bhāva samādhi. The bhakti devī opens herself. It opens in such a beautiful light and joy, and then you are in bhāva. That’s called magan. You know, yesterday somebody was asking, "My name is Magandevī, but first can you ask me, tell me what is the meaning of my name, Magandevī?" So now you know. So, bhāva samādhi. So first comes the bhāva samādhi. In bhāva samādhi, what happens? You are so happy, and suddenly, in that happiness, you are somewhere. Hours and hours go away. You are sitting in beautiful joy. Your face is radiating. Sometimes tears come, but for many hours, tears cannot come. You have to drink more water then, and you have time to drink the water. So, the happiest, happiest time of your being in this body is when you will attend the Bhāva Samādhi. Bhāva Samādhi can come through meditation. Bhāva Samādhi can be realized through prayer. Bhāva Samādhi can be realized through singing bhajans. But when you understand the words, otherwise you can sing and sing. It doesn’t mean anything. Words you should understand in such a way that they penetrate through the whole body and consciousness. It penetrates through your soul, one word, when you understand; otherwise, it doesn’t matter. One European went to India to a small tea store, and he said—they were two, father and son—and he said to the tea man, "Two cup tea, two cup tea." And in our Indian language, in dialect language, "tu" means "you" and "kapti" means "bloody," no? Bloody cheater and tricky, this means kaptī. Kapaṭakī bhakti Prabhu nahīṁ māne... Sāche Rāche Madana Gopāla, Sāche Madana Gopāla. Sab Kusha Deve Dātā, Sab Kusha Deve. Janama Kā Dārī Dharma, Janama Kā Dārī Dharma. So the tourist said, "Two cup tea," and the owner of the store was very happy. Angrily, he said, "You are cup tea." He said, "Yes." "Your father cup tea." He said, "Yes." So he said, "Two cup tea." So the shop man said, "You too are cup tea." He said, "Two cup tea." He said, "Yes." So you see how the words can enter through and through. And if someone tells you, "I love you," how nice you feel. Or someone tells you, "I’m sorry to tell you, your dear father just died." All your happiness is finished. You understood the sentence, the word: your father died. Immediately, you felt unhappy. It was penetrating through your body, mind, consciousness, emotion, whatever you call it. Similarly, when you sing bhajan, kīrtan, or read some books, you must understand the meaning. And this should go through and through, penetrate through you. Then you have bhāva samādhi. Otherwise, okay, music is good. If you understand the music, all instrumental, and you love this music, and it is something which touches your heart, it can also lead you to the bhāva samādhi. But when often bhāva samādhi repeats, then it becomes a social problem. Then people will say, "Oh, he is crazy, oh, schizophrenic." People don’t like when somebody is different than they are. And therefore, the best bhāva-samādhi is in the evening before going to sleep. So you sit, and then you will feel the divine love. Abham mast huve Rām rasī ke, Rām rasī ke. Moye lage duniyā ke sabhī rasī ke. Now I am so happy, divine, because I drank the juice of God’s name. Now, all other juice of this worldly enjoyment is tasteless. So when you have a desire, then something is wrong. Your spirituality is going down. I am alone. I have nobody. Why should you have? Who are you that you want to have somebody? Just drink the body and dobra-naaj, lakonaaj. You are yourself. Desires. This is the problem which keeps us away from the Brahma-jñāna. There are some people, it doesn’t matter when you ask, "How are you?" They say, "Not good." How are you? Oh, terrible. How are you? Oh, I am very unhappy. This is thinking. And while saying, thinking, your unhappiness will not go away. Your problem will not go away. It means the self-blackmailing. Always think, "I am happy, I am good." This is saṃsāra, this is the world. It will happen, whether you are unhappy or happy. So, why don’t you try to develop in your heart that ānanda, that joy? Why? To understand the world as it is. And you can’t change the world because you are not able to change yourself. And if you cannot change yourself, you cannot change the world. And therefore, try to understand thyself; try to change your way of thinking. Immediately, your face will be radiating, bludgeoning. So that is when the Kuṇḍalinī comes to our Anāhata Cakra, Bhāva Samādhi. Then, as Jijā said, "Thou shalt not carry, I will bring and give you." And so, Holy Gurujī said, "Śrī Mādhavānanda ke ānand hai bhārī, palā palā leṭh moi sambhālī." Every second, Gurudev looks after me. You know, when a baby is born, how many times in the night does the mother wake up and look? If the baby is sleeping, if the cloth is not on the face, no, Mother? How many sleepless nights has a mother had? And father? Father takes the blanket and goes to sleep in the kitchen. Tomorrow morning, I must go to work. No, no, in India we don’t have a kitchen. We have the kitchen and sleeping room together. No chance. This is what I told in Europe, you know. And there are also such men who take other flats for sometimes, yes. So your wife is lucky that she can go on holidays, and you can take care of the ten-day-old baby. Okay. So, bhāva samādhi, bhāva samādhi when it comes, then it is a healing process in the body. Many illnesses can be healed through the bhāva samādhi, and that is what they call the sound and color therapy. Sound and color. So when the sound, as a mantra—one of our disciples, Madhuram in Edinburgh, who is taking care of our yoga in their life center there in Scotland—he said, "Well, he has diabetes number one," and he said he’s using now the mantra "Mā Mṛtyuñjaya" mantra, and he... Feels much better and released. He needs less insulin and medicine, so we have here one proof: Mahāmṛtyu Jai Mantra. Mahāprabhujī kī Karatā Mahāprabhujī kī Karatā... Mahāprabhujī kī Karatā... Śānti, Puṣṭi Vardhana, Ārjava, Kāmya, Indriyajaya, Mṛtyu, Mokṣa, Mā, Tā, Śa, Śrī Dīp Nārāyaṇa Bhagavān. So, also there are some other mantras in other languages which definitely have the same effect, and you can understand those words better because if it is your mother tongue, then you can understand these words better. So every mantra, every spiritual chanting, no matter from which language, has a positive influence on us. My experience is only with these Hindi and Sanskrit mantras, and which is Sanskrit, Hindi language is, you know, the mother of nearly 98% of the world’s languages. And so Sanskrit is the mother of language, the mother of all languages, the roots of all, the essence of all. It is very scientific, but you should have learned how to change. Then you feel the vibration, and at that time, the bhāva samādhi comes. Oṁ Tryambakaṁ Mahēśwagandhiṁ Puṣṭivardhana Uravakaṁ ēva Vandana Mṛtyu Mokṣita. Very nice. Or when you repeat the mantra "Rām," which is a bīja mantra also from the Maṇipūra Chakra, that is a very beautiful, very beautiful mantra. It has such a divine vibration. It’s a healing, healing vibration in the whole body. So, for those who have a heavy disease, which is difficult to heal, you can try this. We will do it for a few minutes. I will chant five times, and then you will join me after five times, okay? Ram Ram. So you can open your eyes. So the sound, light, and energy have a healing process on our heart and also a healing process in the whole body. When you chant this nāda, then imagine from the Maṇipūra cakra is going the waves like a peaceful lake. You throw one stone inside, and the waves are going round like a disc. And these waves enter into the three nāḍīs, Iḍā, Piṅgalā, and Suṣumṇā. It goes through the Suṣumnā up and through the Piṅgalā, enters into the heart, and through the Iḍā, it awakens that energy of emotion or love or bhāva-samādhi. And with the Suṣumnā, the sound goes into the space, and you hear with your own ears. This is the Nāḍī Yoga Kriyā. So, in the next lecture, we will again be with you, and I wish you today all the best, a very nice Sunday afternoon, and a good journey. Those who are going home, please drive carefully.
