Since childhood, in many traditional

cultures, people were taught to see

everyone, even unknown persons, as

a family member. Elderly people were

addressed as 'mother' or 'father', younger

ones as 'sister' or 'brother'. In modern

times, with few exceptions, this culture

is almost gone. It had a uniting effect

and no one would have done anything

bad to you. This kind of education

protected many disturbances in the

society. The western world now looks

different. The whole world is a market -

business. This means duality, greed

and cheating others. We steal in

hidden form. In spiritual books it is

said: 'We are all one God's family' or

'We are all family of one God'. If we

develop in our consciousness such

a clear picture - that the whole world

is one family - automatically

we are in peace; we feel compassion

and love.
