This kind of thinking began the human search: is there somewhere there is no change? Is there somewhere something which is everlasting happiness and joy? And that is the reality. Whatever is changing is not reality, and that which is never changing is the reality. Your Self never changes. The circumstances change. Your consciousness changes. Your life changes. Now you are awakened, then you will sleep, then you will dream, then you will wake up again. You will say, "Well, I slept so good. I was dreaming. I was very tired. Now I am awake." You are the reality, which is never changing. You are the observer. You are the witness. All this is happening, but still we are not aware of our Self, and that's why we are suffering. And this reality, or this everlasting joy, can only be realized when we have God-realization. Definitely there is God, whether you believe or not. Belief doesn't change anything, because still belief is too little. When you say, "I believe," it means you do believe, but you are not sure. I ask you if this road will lead me there and there, and you will say, "Yes, I believe." Then I will ask you again, "Sir, do you believe, or are you sure?" But still, the belief doesn't change that there is God. There is the sun shining. There is the sun. If a blind person said, "No, there is no sun," he or she is blind, that's why they can't see the sun. There is a sun. So we are blind from ignorance.
