Three levels of the consciousness and prana
0:30 - 1:39 (69 min)
The nature of prāṇa and consciousness is explored.
Consciousness shifts through waking, deep sleep, and dream states. The precise mechanism and the role of prāṇa in these transitions are subtle. Mastery over the dream state is a path toward samādhi, achieved through specific practices like yoga nidrā. Prāṇa is the vital guide, yet it is ultimately indefinable; it must be directly experienced like the taste of ghee. Spiritual realization is beyond intellectual explanation. Ayurveda, the philosophy of life, is fundamentally based on prāṇa. Practices like prāṇāyāma and yoga awaken the marma points and vital energies within the body. Yoga is a universal discipline for well-being, belonging to no single religion. The principle of non-violence, especially protecting creatures like the cow, is emphasized as a human duty.
"Similarly, it is not easy to explain to you samādhi."
"Prana is a width. Prana and the soul are very much in oneness."

We all should get oneness
1:40 - 1:56 (16 min)
The language of oneness transcends spoken words. Many scriptures and languages exist, yet spirituality reveals a universal oneness. We learn through gaze and feeling, not just vocabulary. The best language is understood by all, like music or song, where sound vibration creates unity. We do not know God's name or voice, but in our heart, all humans know there is some God. Even saying "no God" speaks to that understanding. Language is only the outer side; the feeling is the true language. When words fail, we understand through hands, eyes, and silence. From life's mixture, we seek purity and oneness. In a hall, a little stone can represent the silence that unites us. This silentness is oneness. In contrast, a noisy festival is different. You are happy and need nothing.
"The best language is when people from many countries, each with their own language, suddenly all understand."
"In our heart, all humans know there is some God."

The Healing Bridge: Integrating Yoga into Modern Medicine
2:00 - 2:09 (9 min)
A holistic yoga system offers a vital complement to modern medicine within a globalized, rapid, and restless world. Western medicine excels at structural issues but faces challenges with widespread psychosomatic conditions. Applying yoga occurs on three levels: as preventive self-care to reduce systemic costs, as a supportive adjunct to enhance medical treatments, and as a primary treatment for specific functional or psychosomatic ailments. Encouraging patients to practice the complete system, rather than seeking quick fixes, allows them to resolve their own issues through self-knowledge. This path addresses the root restlessness driving the demand for rapid, universalized treatments that often fail. The methods provided are excellent for both prevention and fostering genuine well-being.
"When someone comes with a particular complaint, I advise them: 'Practice the Yoga in Daily Life system as a complete system.'"
"People suffer because they are globalized, rapid, and restless. Consequently, they seek quick, rapid, and universalized medications and treatments—an approach that often fails."

The Silent Revolution: Yoga as the Antidote to Mind Pollution and Failed Leadership
2:15 - 2:38 (23 min)
We need a silent revolution in leadership and consciousness. Old models have failed, creating crisis. Leaders are overwhelmed, lack self-awareness, and cannot inspire, leaving people disengaged. The solution is changing leaders. We are entering a cognitive age where mind care is paramount. Control your thoughts, for they become your destiny. Media exaggerates violence; data shows heart disease and cancer are far greater threats. The real danger is mind pollution—the poisoning of our minds. Yoga is for non-violence and peace. It is a systematic science for mastering the mind and achieving inner peace. A peaceful society guarantees the right to self-realization. Yoga accelerates human growth and is vital for well-being and social harmony. We must go public, integrate yoga into all education and leadership training, and promote it globally.
"Control your thoughts, for they trigger your emotions and feelings. Control your emotions, for they become your words."
"Yoga is a systematic, conscious science of human development. Its main technique is gaining mastery over the mind, stopping the internal dialogue."

The Grace of Gray Hair and the Discipline of Yoga
2:45 - 3:20 (35 min)
The goal of yoga is the merging of individual consciousness into cosmic consciousness, ending suffering through unity and discipline. Gray hair signifies the wisdom earned from life's tests, a natural beauty superior to artificiality. True culture, now often lost, is found in living principles, not museums. Yoga is the disciplined path to this realization, requiring lifelong practice without expectation of reward. The essence is non-violence in thought, word, and deed, which creates harmony where even animals feel no fear. Success comes from surrendering all actions and their fruits to the divine will, becoming like a trusting child free from guilt and stress. This surrender, coupled with steady discipline, is the key to liberation.
"Yoga means oneness, yoga means unity, yoga means harmony, and yoga means balance."
"Discipline is a key to success, and who has no discipline cannot be successful."

A Month of Yoga and the Yogasūtra
5:00 - 5:22 (22 min)
This month's focus is the Yogasūtra and the path of yoga. Yoga is the universal principle uniting consciousness and creation, originating from the sound Aum. The ultimate goal is for individual consciousness to merge with the cosmic source. Many sages and incarnations have conveyed this truth through different paths suited to different minds, all leading to the same one God. The sage Patañjali systematically compiled the teachings on yoga into sūtras. Yogis discovered the nature of the mind, intellect, and the soul that persists after the body dies. They mapped the journey of this soul, governed by the law of karma, through cycles of birth and death. This human life is a precious opportunity. The body is your temple and partner; how you treat it matters. The disciplined practice of yoga, as guided by a true knower of the Supreme, is the way to liberation from suffering. We will explore these instructions here in this pristine natural setting.
"Who am I? From where did I come? What is the purpose of my coming? And where will I go? The destination is one."
"Consciously or unconsciously, the destination or the purpose of life for every creature is to proceed towards the origin."

The Soil of Sandalwood
5:30 - 6:00 (30 min)
Meditation is the only way to the self and to God. Yoga is the science of body, mind, and soul, given by Lord Śiva, the first being, Swayambhu. In the beginning was endless space and the cosmic consciousness, Chaitanya, resting within it like a child. This formless consciousness desired, "I am one; I shall become many." This first desire, Īcchā Śakti, is the root of all problems and began creation. From this desire came resonance, the sacred sound Om, which is the fire element. This brought movement, feelings, and the other elements: air, space, water, and earth, forming all creation. The individual self and the cosmic self cannot coexist; one must surrender to become one, like salt dissolving in the ocean. All spiritual science, including meditation, is the gift of Śiva.
"What you search, you will get, but then you will not be aware of what you got."
"Ichchā (desire) is the root of all problems."

All else is transient; the Guru's name is the true path.

Surrender to the divine master is the path to liberation.
The highest god is the ruler of all and resides within every cell. The true guru is ever-present, as the scriptures confirm. Those who surrender live without fear and attain the highest happiness. Constant repetition of the divine name allows one to cross the ocean of worldly existence. This world is a temporary play of coming and going; no worldly relation or possession aids the soul at death. Therefore, one must place one's entire life, success, and abilities into the hands of the immortal beloved. The final goal is liberation and eternal union with God.
"O Gurudev, please protect me from this net of Māyā."
"I gave you the whole responsibility over my life."

Visiting Alakpuriji's cave
9:25 - 10:33 (68 min)
The Himalayan cave is a site of spiritual austerity and inner transformation. The physical cave is small, requiring one to bow to enter, symbolizing surrender. Its narrow passages were designed for protection, teaching that the heart must not become narrow but expand with joy. The surrounding glaciers and the powerful Alaknandā river embody the elemental principles where fire and water are interdependent. Meditating there, one hears the river's sound and experiences a profound environment where ṛṣis in astral bodies remain unseen. The journey demands inner strength, not physical comforts, and reveals that true sustenance comes from internal spiritual joy, not external sources. This inner development, like generating one's own oxygen, allows one to traverse the terrain. The path is a gradual spiritual ascent, merging the individual into cosmic oneness, where every cell becomes divine. The story of a ṛṣi who wished to finish all Vedas before death illustrates that divine knowledge is as vast as the Himalayas; one must ultimately surrender to the infinite. Spiritual practice is the inner alchemy of purifying the heart, grinding away the ego to reveal the innate nectar and light within, which is our true nature.
"The cold becomes hot. That’s why the fire cannot remain without water. And water cannot remain without fire."
"Can you count how many grains of sand are in your palm?... This is only a little dust of the Himalaya, but the whole Himalaya is there with us."

Nada yoga and bindhu chakra (3/4)
10:40 - 11:58 (78 min)
The path of Nāḍī Yoga integrates sound, light, and energy for spiritual awakening. These three principles reside dormant within the navel lotus, the Maṇipūra cakra, essential for all aspects of health and God-realization. The only way to enter the central Suṣumnā channel is through this navel cakra, utilizing the three bandhas in prāṇāyāma. When consciousness enters Suṣumnā, the chakras are purified and kuṇḍalinī awakens, which is simply this unified energy. This leads to the Sahasrāra, the door to liberation, where the individual soul realizes its identity as Śiva, the formless cosmic consciousness. Negative emotions like anger and jealousy contract the lower centers and obstruct this energy. Mastery of Mūlabandha is crucial, as the sensation it creates releases mental tension. True practice requires constant self-vigilance, forgiveness, and purifying one's inner dialogue, for you are your own primary obstacle and liberator. The divine sound, or śabda, is the guiding resonance through which knowledge and liberation are received. Ultimately, light, sound, and energy active in the navel lotus enable the unfoldment of consciousness.
"Without nāda, without sound, there is no way. It is that sound which guides us through the universe."
"Through that sound, through the words, through the resonance, we are together. And it is that resonance which brings us together."

Nada yoga and bindhu chakra (2/4)
13:20 - 14:38 (78 min)
The true devotee has no fear. The human body is a system of energy, light, and sound centered at the navel, the Maṇipūra Cakra. This resonance guides existence. Enlightenment is the light of wisdom that dispels ignorance, which is darkness. Positive and negative thoughts create corresponding vibrations that direct one's path. Actions in the physical world create karma, which determines destiny in the astral world after death. One should fear only the consequences of one's own karma. The body contains 52 protective channels of sound and energy that guard its major chakras. Through practices like Nāḍī Yoga and mantra repetition, these inner sounds are awakened, leading to self-realization. Correct mistakes without fear; it is never too late to change.
"Enlightenment means the wisdom that everything is clear to you."
"But only from one thing you should be afraid: karma."

We should not have duality
14:45 - 14:56 (11 min)
The divine lineage is eternal, manifesting across all ages. From the Satya Yuga through to the present, this sacred tradition continues. Great saints perpetually appear, representing a twofold divine expression: one is the singular incarnation of God for an era, and the other is the everlasting succession of saintly Gurus. This is not about a single individual; there are many Gurus, just as there are many parents. All are manifestations of the one divine reality. Your parents are your gods, yet we respect all elders as such. The soul is one, though forms differ. Other traditions are good, yet they often speak of a God from the past, not a living, ever-present God. Without a living God, it is like a child whose mother has died; where does one find that direct love? We must transcend duality, for God is everywhere.
"One is as God, what we call, appearing once in that time... the second is called the saint, known as the Guru Bhagat... there is another who is forever coming."
"Other religions are also very good, but they have no God—not a living God. Once they have a God, and that’s all."

The first wealth is health
17:00 - 17:49 (49 min)
The first happiness is a healthy body. Without the body, there is nothing. It is easy to dismiss the body when healthy, but illness reveals its importance. This body is a divine gift, a perfectly balanced system given freely. We must keep it clean and not destroy it through unnatural nourishment. Health requires good space, pure air, clean water, and natural food. Our lifestyle creates psychic problems, but humans can heal themselves. Practice yoga, prāṇāyāma, and meditation. Use organic things and embrace a natural life. True prosperity is having enough for your family, not excessive greed. A loyal partner and mutual understanding create a happy household. The Seed of Peace and the Resonance of Love
18:55 - 19:44 (49 min)
Awakening peace and divine love within is the true path.
Peace cultivated in the heart must work through the hands. This divine love brings understanding, harmony, beauty, wisdom, and God. Hate and ignorance bring only suffering. Humans are created as protectors, challenged to create peace that spreads as love, tolerance, and respect. This is yoga in daily life—completed through selfless service, nishkām karma, without expectation. Speech and thought must be measured, as they make one one's own best friend or worst enemy. Looking outward toward material temptations leads to disappointment; one must look within. All possessions, including the body, are temporary and will be left behind. Liberation requires freedom from inner bondage like jealousy and anger. The universe is filled with a divine resonance, the sound of Aum, connecting all existence. Use time wisely, avoiding gossip, and seek this inner sound through silence and a positive life.
"Where there is love, there is understanding. Where there is love, there is harmony."
"Liberation means you are completely liberated."

Shiva changed poison into nectar
19:50 - 20:42 (52 min)
Śiva is the light of liberation, the divine harmony of truth and beauty. He acts when human effort is exhausted, rescuing devotees. This harmony is balance, devoid of conflict and selfishness. Śiva, as Mahādeva, is the greatest power. The individual soul (Jīvātmā) is connected to the Ātmā, which is one with the supreme soul (Paramātmā). Realizing this unity makes one a Mahātmā, and at the highest consciousness, a Mahādeva. The true Guru is that realized Ātmā, not the physical body, which is merely a container for that priceless diamond. Modern pursuit of money and technology represents a decline in consciousness. Scientific research cannot apprehend the soul; divine creation is perfect and beyond human replication. Manipulating nature, such as with sterile seeds or artificial conception, destroys natural harmony and leads to societal discord. True knowledge comes from spiritual practice, not instruments. One must live in harmony with nature, renounce selfish desires, and purify the mind to realize the inner Ātmā, which is the Paramātmā present in all.
"Śiva means light. Śiva means liberation: Satyam, Śiva, Sundaram."
"Where there is harmony, there is no fight, no jealousy, and no selfish use of Śiva’s power. Then the light comes."

The best ways of learning
20:50 - 21:41 (51 min)
The essence of bhajan is concentration, meditation, and devotion. Bhajan is a resonant, collective listening. One form is the Doha, a two-line question and answer, ideal for spiritual learning. Other forms include drama and storytelling, which impart unforgettable knowledge from a young age. True learning is joyful and deep, unlike forgettable academic study which lacks heart. Knowledge must balance heart and brain. Stories teach this balance, illustrating that purity of heart, not wealth, defines true devotion. A story tells of a poor gardener who, offered vast sums for a garland, chose instead to give it to his guru, demonstrating that bhakti is surrendering everything.
"Bhaj means to concentrate, to meditate, and to devote. That is bhajan."
"That is bhakti. Who can have bhakti without bhakti?"

Longing for the God
21:45 - 22:34 (49 min)
Devotion is a fragrant merging with the divine. A heart clear in devotion knows it belongs only to God. This devotion unfolds like a blossom at dawn, each petal an offering, its fragrance merging into infinite space. The soul longs for oneness with Brahman. This merging is a complete marriage, without separation. Worldly attachments decay, but the soul is immortal. True devotion is a spiritual longing, a viraha, a wound only God can heal. It brings wakefulness, unlike the sleep of worldly entanglement. The aim of human life is this union, awakening to the divine dwelling in every heart. This awareness fosters universal love and respect, healing humanity. Spiritual education is essential to cultivate this, making humans who embrace the world.

Renounce and enjoy
22:40 - 23:36 (56 min)
Human life is given to be above everything. What you see in others is a reflection of your own inner qualities. You were born with nothing; all possessions and relationships are temporarily given and will be taken. Your destiny is shaped by past karma. Negative qualities like jealousy are a fire that burns across many lives. What you give returns to you a thousandfold. To enter the kingdom of the Lord, you must sacrifice your inner feelings, especially negative ones. True renunciation is letting go of what disturbs you in others. Self-realization means seeing the one ātmā in all. Repair your life by developing equal vision and loving all.
