A Divine Call and the Search for a True Guru
12:30 - 13:18 (48 min)
Recorded on
A divine call led to finding a true guru. In 1992, while ill, I was asked to make a milk pudding for a visiting saint. I refused. Then, Śrī Kṛṣṇa appeared in a vision asking for the pudding. After the fourth vision, I obeyed. At the gathering, the saint knew a stranger's name. I told him I was seeking a true guru. Later in India, guided to an ashram, I heard a spiritual phrase in my sleep. We then traveled to meet Holy Gurujī. Upon meeting, I was filled with overwhelming energy. He later gave me a book in Hindi, a language I claimed not to know, yet I could read it. I asked for mantra initiation. He initiated three of us using three apples we had. We left against his advice and faced travel difficulties. Upon returning, I was constantly moved to tears. I wrote to Gurujī, who lovingly invited me back. I returned to India and translated spiritual texts, a task for which I was granted the ability. I made several trips for service and devotion. In 2003, I visited a sick Gurujī. I experienced protective grace during a storm and once encountered a snake in my room. "Swāmījī said, 'Hello, Rambai.' We were all shocked. How did Swāmījī know that person’s name?" "He said, 'For a daughter to come to the father’s house, you don’t even have to get any permission. You can come whenever you want to come.'" Filming location: Wellington, New Zealand

We suffer because we left Nature
15:30 - 16:20 (50 min)
Recorded on
The true home is found not in the blood family, but in the spiritual family and the heart's openness. Our worldly home can be difficult, but yoga reveals the whole world as God's family. Understanding religious festivals requires the light of a self-realized master, transforming belief into spirituality. Gatherings in that light are different, guided by Ahiṃsā. We must become like a wooden spoon that retains sweetness, not a metal spoon that is washed clean. This requires opening the heart with humility; ego acts like Teflon, causing everything to slide away. When returning to a non-spiritual environment, maintain inner softness and practice. We are in God's garden meant to bear fruit. Knowledge must be given or it is lost; this is a living tradition, Sanātana Dharma. The path to Brahman, the highest reality, requires a guru. Humility is key: the small ant finds the sugar, not the large elephant. The female principle is highly divine. Human suffering arises because we have left nature. We must return to a natural way of living through yoga and diet, and teach what we learn. "Slowly, we will gain that sweetness. That is all we need." "Humbleness, kindness, and that clear-minded bhakta will find that Satguru." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

Kundalini: The Serpent Power of Destiny
17:15 - 18:05 (50 min)
Recorded on
Kundalini is the dormant serpent power of destiny within consciousness. This energy, symbolized by the snake representing time and death, is our latent potential. Our life is governed by destiny, which is the product of our own past actions. No one else is responsible. To navigate this destiny, one must act with awareness of deśa and kāla—place and time. Controlling emotions and adjusting to circumstances brings harmony. The goal is awakening this Kundalini, which is enlightenment—the light of wisdom and love within. This liberation frees one from destiny's power. Human life is rare, and having spiritual interest and a guide is a great blessing for this journey. "Destiny is the product of your own actions. No one is there to be blamed." "Act according to the time and place. Whoever can adjust himself or herself to this time and situation will be successful." Filming location: Kranj, Slovenia
We are going for oneness
18:10 - 18:58 (48 min)
Recorded on
The path is to transcend duality and realize oneness. Yoga means to unite with the cosmic. We are temporary, like a bubble, but the ātmā within is eternal light, like the sun. Do not think "only I am"; countless beings exist within one. All paths move toward merging, like drops into the ocean. If you see only "I," you create darkness. Our joy here is not the final joy. We must go with the wind of oneness, not against it, or we break. Do not cling to country, money, or ego; we return to dust. What goes with the ātmā is purity and light. Constantly remember the guru's name—"Gurudev"—this connects you to the divine light. Researching externally is being lost; the true search is within, for the guru within. All forms and mantras lead to the one. Hold to that one thread. "One in all and all in one." "Gurudev, Gurudev, Gurudev. Constantly, we are hooked with our Gurudev." Filming location: Maha Kumbha Mela, India
Raising the Kalash

Bhakti Of Hanuman
19:50 - 19:58 (8 min)
Recorded on
The potency of devotion and love enables divine intervention. The Sanjīvanī herb shines at night on a Himalayan hill. Firm devotion provides messengers with telepathic communication. Rāvaṇa sent a demon disguised as a sage to trick Hanumān at a lake, claiming a bath was required for the herb to work. A demon transformed into a crocodile attacked Hanumān, who destroyed it. The demon then used magic to make all herbs shine, confusing identification. Hanumān, embodying strength and intelligence, lifted mountains on his journey. Messengers informed Rāvaṇa of an approaching enemy. Bharata, in an inconsistent account, shot an arrow meant for Rāma that struck Hanumān. The narrative shifts to describe love's unbreakable bond, illustrated by Kṛṣṇa being bound by a gopī's thread of love. As dawn approaches and Lakṣmaṇa's life fades, Rāma despairs over Hanumān's return. "There is no force that can bind me, but there is one thread—that of love—in which I become entwined; it does not break away from me." "Hanumān, when will you come to be with us? Bhagavān Rāma says, 'I do not know for myself.'" Filming location: Jadan, Rajasthan, India

Atma and the Soul
20:55 - 21:36 (41 min)
Recorded on
The essence is realizing the non-dual Self, or Ātmā Anubhūti. Our practice, Kriyā Anuṣṭhāna, is a resolve for this experience. The individual Ātmā is ultimately one with the supreme Paramātmā, like space within different vessels. Śaṅkarācārya's non-dual philosophy teaches this unity. He used the example of one moon reflected in many cups of water; the reflections are many, but the moon is one. Similarly, the one Ātmā is reflected in all beings. Ignorance creates duality, like mistaking a rope for a snake, which brings fear. True knowledge dispels this illusion. We must practice diligently, not procrastinate, to awaken to the light of this knowledge and realize we are the pure, everlasting Ātmā. "Śaṅkarācārya said there is duality in matter, but unity is in oneness in Ātmā." "From where did the snake come? How did the fear awake? That was ignorance." Filming location: Vép, Hungary
The Paths and Practices of Haṭha Yoga
21:40 - 22:10 (30 min)
Recorded on
We explore Haṭha Yoga's definitions and practices. Yoga has many names and paths. Patañjali's system outlines primary yogas like Karma and Bhakti. Haṭha Yoga is often explained through four types of will: child's, woman's, king's, and yogi's determination. Another definition is the union of "Ha" (Iḍā channel) and "Tha" (Suṣumṇā channel), balancing energy. Classically, its core practices are six cleansing techniques, not the postures commonly taught today. These techniques, like Netī, prepare the nervous system. Practice begins on the left side to calm the mind via the moon channel. This purification of channels is essential before advanced meditation. All yogic paths engage these energy channels. "Ha represents Iḍā and Tha represents Suṣumṇā. When Ha and Tha come into balance and meet, that union is called Yoga." "Always begin with the left nostril. We first awaken, purify, and warm this nāḍī." Filming location: Vép, Hungary
